Also make sure you surround your bed with salt. Ghosts can't cross it. Also maybe get a cool Impala, and hunt monsters across the country while preventing the Apocalypse (I hope someone got that)

It is a thing called the Ideomotor effect. Basically you expect it to move and you hand moves in small amounts without knowing. Then this reinforces in your head that there is a ghost so your brain wants it to move more so your hand moves even faster. Or there is actually a ghost talking to you

Yeah but you upset that chameleon ghost one time and it hates you for all eternity. Just imagine an angry chameleon ghost hissing at you as it chases you and you run through a dark candle lit house trying to get away. That should be a horror movie.
