I have another question. My cham keeps eating my mattress. Which is very weird because my mattress is yellow with holes and doesn’t look anything like a bug or plant he would eat?? I’m so new to chams.

Yes he is still doing it. He just does it on and off throughout the day. And okay about the thread, sorry bout that! Just feel like a maze haha.

The vitamins were using right now came in a little trial packet in our cage kit (which is the worst kit ever) and we’re gonna get a bottle of it soon this is the exact one we’re gonna get that comes in the kit

Yes! I’ll post a few pictures. His cage is very plain and insufficient of plants right now but is currently in the process of getting live plants, and we are working on getting him the correct uvb light. He has a coiled 5.0 right now.

We’ve caught my juvenile male veiled chameleon doing a weird motion. He keeps sucking in his throat and puffing it back out just a little bit, and clenching his stomach back and forth. Haven’t been able to get a video. Not sure what he’s doing or if I should be concerned? Thought it looked like...

Gotcha. Thanks! Is it normal for them to have dark black/red streaks while basking? I know they get dark to soak in heat, but is it supposed to be those colors?

It wasn’t his basking spot we just added that stick there earlier. Could he just be making it his new basking spot? It’s more direct to the heat lamp than his original basking spot

What is appetite eye?

He is fairly new but I use the zoomed repti calcium and the zoo med vitamins. We’ve only used his vitamins twice because we’ve only had him for a few weeks, and do the vitamins bout every two weeks and dust his food with calcium every day. His calcium does not have d3. The lights is a coiled 5.0...

My male juvenile chameleon keeps shutting and opening his right eye throughout the day. Sometimes it’s quick and others he just sits there with it closed. This is in his enclosure and outside. Not often but sometimes he will do both but it’s mainly just his right eye.
