I have no idea how large he will get, but he doesn't seem abnormally large for his age currently. My juvenile male panther chameleon is almost 5 months old now and weighs 42 grams as of yesterday.
Is he normally friendly? My experience with veiled males is they are normally pissed off and ****. I have owned veiled chams for years, and I dont worry about their demeanor unless they are sluggish and or lethargic.
What size cage do you have and how far from the light is the basking spot? Also what's the ambient temperature as well as the temp in the lower/cool side of the enclosure?
Ah. Got it. I had the double combo lights laying around, but I am using those with 6500k cfl bulbs for the plants, which has been working well for me so far with the dwarf umbrella plants. And then the uvb is a t5ho strip light.
Zoomed makes good bulbs, it's what most people use. The only better lighting manufacturer that I am aware of is Arcadia, but those can only be purchased a few places in the US, the main place being from Todd @ Lightyourreptiles.com, I highly recommend him and the arcadia brand bulbs.
The new cfl bulbs were said to have been reformulated and fixed some time back. I've used this on small baby/juvenile cages for a few months before moving to larger cages and I haven't personally had an issue with them. The uvb bulb also puts out 30% uva spectrum if I remember correctly. You...
Clearer photos of the backsides of the back feet would be helpfulike, there should he spurs on the heels of the back feet if it's male and none if it's female. I would guess 6 months old.
