What is the most interesting species you've found while herping?

Yeah i don't understand the Slow worm name because they where pretty quick at evading. They have some other names which are not very PC too which I wont mention on here. Sadly in UK the diversity of reptiles is quite low i think i have captured all the lizards (3) i have spotted 2 of the snakes...

What is the most interesting species you've found while herping?

Here in UK when I was young and full of adventure I used to find deaf adders aka slow worms a species of legless lizard (Anguis fragilis). They can drop their tails if handled incorrectly.

My veiled chameleon is weak and not taking his calcium.

This method of giving uvb via a mercury vapour bulb is difficult to achieve for chameleons. The bulb often heats up basking area too much in the usable uvb range. I would highly recommend you don't go mv bulb route without a solarmeter to measure uv radiation they're also not dimmer able. Easier...

    Bee pollen...

Perhaps these salivary enzymes increase the uptake of other supplements given. It's hard to find anything negative about pollen would seem it is a miracle substance except when given to chameleons who are already supplemented. Could be a cue that the supplements given aren't quite on point, and...

    Bee pollen...

The further processing of the bee pollen (pollen collected by foraging honey bees) to produce bee bread is carried out by the hive bees that add further spit, nectar & honey. Honey is produced by the bees passing around nectar mouth to mouth untill its moisture content is reduced.

    Bee pollen...

Yes it is stuck to the hair on leg hairs or scopa. They mix it with there saliva as they go along, Which makes stick to the hairs and waxy rather than fluffy & powdery like pollen is found naturally before bees add their spit
