It is not normal for him to be sleeping in the day. Either something might be bothering his eyes or he could be ill. Does he open his eyes at all? Try your best to find some grasshoppers, locusts, or worms he might consider eating. If he's native to where you live he may recognize the butterfly...
Well it will definitely hold him but he won't stay healthy long if he remains in an container like that. It's important to use organic fertilizers free fine grain soil with no large chunks as large matter can cause impaction. If you have a larger Rubbermaid bin you can place paper towels down...
It's a chameleon. It might never be your buddy. What he means by forcing is to not grab at it and make it come out. Right now you should consider researching as much as possible on the animal you own. This is not a simple pet to take care of but with research you can learn all you need to care...
It could be likely that it's oozing because of egg death. When I say disturbed I mean anything from touching, picking up, bumping, poking, etc. The veins don't just go away after the embryo dies. But what you are describing sounds like egg death with the eggs bursting like that.
It's best to candle your eggs from above with a pen light instead of touching them. Eggs that are disturbed to much have less success hatching in my experience.
Your chameleons casque is so deformed and your veterinarian said there was a broken leg but it healed? Did he not mention that those are symptoms of mbd?
I seriously suggest finding a better veterinarian who has more experience with chameleons in that case. Fecals are an important tool for finding parasites.
