    how old is the chameleon? >6 months should be in the low 80s, <6 months that temp is perfect for the basking spot

    I had the same problem. Mine seemed to swallow it completely whole because he wasn’t strong enough to chew it more, so I’m trying to feed him less of those and try wax worms instead because they are shorter.

    His basking temp is usually 80-84 which is perfect for juveniles so I hope he isn’t too hot! I’ll try doing that to see if he stops.

    When he’s basking he’s puffed up sometimes, but I read that was to get more surface area to warm up faster. When he does the yawning thing he adjusts and swallows afterwards.
