how old is the chameleon? >6 months should be in the low 80s, <6 months that temp is perfect for the basking spot

I had the same problem. Mine seemed to swallow it completely whole because he wasn’t strong enough to chew it more, so I’m trying to feed him less of those and try wax worms instead because they are shorter.

His basking temp is usually 80-84 which is perfect for juveniles so I hope he isn’t too hot! I’ll try doing that to see if he stops.

When he’s basking he’s puffed up sometimes, but I read that was to get more surface area to warm up faster. When he does the yawning thing he adjusts and swallows afterwards. He doesn’t shake all the time. Only at the point his mouth is as wide as it can open then he shakes for a little as do...

There’s a tiny one waaay across the room that I hardly think he can see himself.

I posted a thread recently about weird yawning going on with Toad. I still am concerned if it is something I should be worried about. He just got done with a shed so it can’t be him starting one again. He doesn’t have stringy saliva so it shouldn’t be a respiratory infection right? My husbandry...
