Can you guys help me ID this Cham. The breeder said male but seemed somewhat unsure at the time. The colors seem somewhat muted which makes me confused, also, in the top picture it looks like there's an indent (female), but the second picture shows a bulge (male). If anyone could help me out...
Give it a few days before you worry about it too much. My cham had eye problems for a few days and it went away on his own, could just be a piece of dirt or whatever stuck in there and it takes a couple days to find itself out. If it starts swelling too much or lasts for more than a couple days...
I like to give my cham more than an hour before before I turn the misters on. I have the lights turn on, feed him, and then have the misters turn on maybe an hour after that. I wild feed my cham and want to make sure he has enough time to hunt and eat the bugs before the mister comes on and...
He should be drinking off of the leaves that are left behind after you mist. He could possibly he doing it after you leave and you just don't notice. Check his poops and if the white part seems tinted yellow/orange than that is a sign he is dehydrated. My cham wouldn't drink out of a dripper and...
I'm working on this right now with my baby cham. When I first got him, he would be scared if i was even in the same room as his cage, then he would only get scared if i came up and peeked into it, then he got comfortable with that but would run and hide if i opened up the door. Now, he still is...
It's not difficult at all. I don't have pictures right now but I'll send some in a couple hours. I have this wire rack (http://www.target.com/p/adjustable-3-tier-wire-shelving-black-room-essentials-153/-/A-13892292?lnk=rec|adaptpdph1|related_prods_vv|adaptpdph1|13892292|3), with the enclosure on...
Probably a young cham or just installed the system and the cham isnt used to it yet. It took mine a little over a week before he stopped scrambling to get out of the way once the water started.
What kind of heated cable do you mean? Would it not melt the plastic tub or carpet that the colony sits on? If you can send an example of what you use that would be great :)
If the white part of his poop looks tinted orange or too chalky he could be dehydrated. If it seems normal, I wouldn't worry about it. There's a good post on here about healthy poop, search it and compare and that should tell you if he's hydrated enough. I would link it but I'm being lazy.
A timer should be enough as long as your basking area is the proper temp. Most people here just find a light that sits at the correct temp and then set a timer and forget about it.
