Update: Pop-Tart is no longer afraid of the tongs. He gets excited now. If I pull them out he runs to his feeding dish. If I offer him anything in the tongs he eats it; even veggies. It may not work for everyone, but it seems reducing his crickets by just a few really motivated him to try new foods.
I don't have a current picture of Pop-Tarts set up. I do have photos of when I first started and the one I'm moving him into. The one I'm moving him into isn't complete yet. I hope to finish it soon. I'm moving him from a 18" x 18" x 36" to a 5' x 3' x 3'. He only gets 3x3x4 of it though.

I did offer it from a distance. He lunged at it as he flicked his tongue. I was on the opposite end of his terrarium. He's pretty quick for someone whose supposed to be slow.
I had previously shared my issue with Pop-tart getting upset over feeding time. He would only eat free range. Any time myself or tweezers would get near him he would turn dark, hiss, and lunge. Last night and today we had a break through.
I reduced the amount of crickets I was feeding him by...
I'm no expert so I could be completely wrong, but perhaps he prefers larger spaces. His dimensions seem resonable though. He may have been given more space at his previous home. Or, perhaps he prefers the light outside the terrarium. Honestly though, my opinion could be way off.

I live in Canton too! My landlord is my Aunt. We live in the same house so she'd know they were there. Otherwise I would have already snuck them in
Thanks for the bug list. What about any types of flies?
I will respect your comment as you're concerned for the safety of my chameleon. I only recently lost my job and have had him for 6 months. I will not ship him away unless I absolutely have no other choice. No one local will be able to offer any different food sources. I still have the means to...
I feed him crickets mainly. He gets a few meal worms here and there for a treat. My local pet stores only sell crickets, meal worms, and super worms. This is why I'm looking to catch my own. I've looked for bugs online and shipping is like $40 for like $5 worth of bugs.
We have a mulberry tree...
It's finally warm enough in Ohio to catch various bugs/insects. My yard is pesticide free. We don't spray any chemicals at all. I was trying to find a list of safe worms in Ohio that I can catch and feed my guy. Roaches and beetles are pretty much a no. The owner of the home I live in says lady...
There are no horn worms or silk worms in my area. I heavily misted and gave him a shallow dish of water. I will try the bath.
I've been job hunting, but I have a no compete contract that's making it very difficult. Chameleons are exspensive that's for sure.
Pop-Tart has been dehydrated which I posted about yesterday. Today I was cleaning out his feeding bowl. I put water in it and was using tissue to scrub and soak up the water. I turned my back for a second to grab another tissue and when I turned back he had the wet tissue in his mouth. I pulled...
He appears healthy; but I'm also not a vet, or a chameleon expert, so my opinion could be wrong. His urate has been yellow for a few days now. I hoped it was just a short bout of stubbornness, but I guess not. Perhaps it's a failure on my end. I don't gut load his crickets prior to feeding.

Both. When I mist on him he sometimes licks it off his face, but not always. I mist every thing in his terrarium so no matter where he goes he has access to water.
