Sanity check on new chameleon's daily routine

Awesome! Those are all good! Though his basking should be 80*F at his age, and the basking temp should be measured separately with a digital probed thermometer (the probe needs to be where the top of his back is when he’s on his basking branch). You can also boost his nighttime humidity a...

Sanity check on new chameleon's daily routine

Are his feeders let loose in his enclosure? If so, start using a feeder run, at least until he comes back all clear for parasites. This also allows you to better monitor his food intake. Are you removing the feeders each day? Also, the D3 is only once every two weeks. What supplements do you have?

Sanity check on new chameleon's daily routine

A few things I’ve noticed: -The moss needs to be removed immediately, and the red light needs to be replaced with a white light heat bulb ASAP (we’ve already talked about both of those things already) -What are his basking, nighttime and daytime ambient temps and nighttime and daytime humidity...

    Please help

What changes have you made so far, if any? Sadly everything in your cage is incorrect and will cause death if it hasn’t already. Chameleons don’t need hides, they need plants and branches and a completely different set up. If he survives the night, go to a pet store as soon as it opens tomorrow...

Using a feeder run but my little baby seems afraid of it…?

Congrats on her first shed! It depends on the chameleon, she’ll eat if she wants to. You can throw in some bean beetles to see if it’s just the crickets or she just might not be in the mood Are they in a contained area, and are they the 1/8” crickets?

Using a feeder run but my little baby seems afraid of it…?

All of those can be staples (just don’t over use/overfeed the black soldier fly larvae)! Try them out and let us know!

Eye gunk, retained shed or discharge?

Just keep an eye out (pun partially intended) for abnormal behavior/any signs of shutdown and whatnot, then you’ll take him to his vet or emergency vet asap. I’m hoping it’s just stuck shed! Definitely keep us updated!

Eye gunk, retained shed or discharge?

Welcome on here (officially), and what a handsome guy! I think having the vet remove the crud is the safest bet, along with them flushing his eye out. Have them take a culture of the gunk, too, to test it. I hope everything goes well!

    Phantom leaf eater

It’s an awesome build!! The moss vine can cause foot issues and could be a source for impaction though, so removing/replacing that with a safer option would be best!. I’ve got a couple of questions, so bear with me here if you can! What are the distances from both his uvb bulb and heat bulb to...
