    shedding problem? picture!

My Cham has been in shed for about 4 days now. Is this normal shedding? As you can see, only the top top portion of his back has come off. It's been like this for 2 days since he began to show signs of shed 4 days ago.

Hornworms for 5 month old veiled

Thanks for the input everyone. I'll go out and buy some crickets today to mix it up a bit. Would it be okay if I were to feed off a hornworm daily along with a few crickets?

Hornworms for 5 month old veiled

I just received two cups of hornworms in the mail. They're all about 1-2 inches. How many a day should my 5 month old veiled eat? Is it okay to feed these daily?

    Tell me what you see!

Alright guys! So I joined this site upon buying my first, 3 month old male veiled. He is now 5 months old and I thought it would be a good time to get some feedback. I've done tons of research to ensure I meet all husbandry requirements. My cham eats, sleeps, poops and urinates. He can even...

    Green anole trio?

Hello everyone! I am very interested in getting a trio of green anoles. Two females and one male. Any recommendable care sheets out there? Or advice from some one with knowledge of keeping these critters. I would highly appreciate it! Thanks in advance

    Dark crickets?

I got back to the states last night and there were four of them dead at the bottom of the container. The pet sitter purchased them on Thursday. The first crickets I was feeding did not die off this fast. Here is a photo, maybe someone could identify them. Some of them have black heads. I'm...

    Dark crickets?

Hello everyone! Unfortunately, while out of the country, I ran out of crickets and my cricket supplier closed down. I had my pet sitter go to a local petshop to purchase some crickets. She sent me photos and the crickets from the petshop are very dark compared to the crickets I have been feeding...

    Slightly visible ribs. Problem?

Hello everyone. I've had my 3-4 month old male veiled for a little under a month now. His temps and humidity are suitable and he eats everyday. He's active and his colors do not signal stress. His poop is normal, solid brown stool and white/yellowish urate. However, his ribs are slightly...

    Heating/lighting question

I would love to keep him outside but I have cats and they would hang around his cage and stress him out. Here is a pic of the lighting fixtures. Like have the basking light in one corner and the UVB running diagonally. Is this a good set-up?

    Heating/lighting question

What are some signs of overheating? After hours of moving my room around I was finally able to achieve a basking spot of approximately 85-90 degrees. My cham immediately went over to this spot to bask. Will the temperature of this spot increase to uncomfortable levels as the day gets hotter...

    Heating/lighting question

I knew I couldn't be the only one dealing with hot weather. Yes, he is in a fully screened enclosure. I just went out and bought some foliage to add at the bottom. Hopefully this works in creating a better gradient. If not, I will try your fan suggestion as well. How hot does it get where you...

    My enclosure. Suggestions welcomed!

He is indoors and there is no a/c. The temp only reaches 90f for about an hour or two before it begins to drop to the mid 80's. I've added more foliage at the bottom of the enclosure. Hopefully this creates a better temp gradient. I will monitor the temps closely. Thank you for your reply!

    My enclosure. Suggestions welcomed!

Here is my baby veiled enclosure. I'm currently in the process of acquiring more vines and foliage. I have a ficus plant in there along with an exoterra vine. I'm currently not using a basking bulb because temps here in SoCal have been in the 90's. Friendly suggestions and feedback please!

    Heating/lighting question

I have measured the temperature in the enclosure. The temp directly under the u.v. measures at 90f. The temperature at the bottom of the enclosure measures at 80f which is the ambient temp in the room. Are these temps suitable? Unless I leave the a/c on all day, I cannot make the room cooler. No...

    Heating/lighting question

Hello everyone. I recently purchased a 3-4 month old male veiled. I have a question regarding it's heating. At the moment I'm only using a u.v. 5.0 light. The reason I have not provided a basking light is because I'm worried about overheating. It is currently summer in Southern California and...
