Thinking of getting back into it

I’m not 100% certain, but I think she will be 4 in the fall.

Thinking of getting back into it

My cristifer is great! She is a little bigger than the male panthers were. Not crazy active but very chill and always hungry! I know Craig’s getting out if the game but maybe he has a hold back or connection?

Thinking of getting back into it

I loooooooove k boehmei … but they are so tiny and fragile, I wouldnt advise them for kids. I agree @jamest0o0 that panthers seem to be the most even tempered, and less fragile.

Tradescantia Pistachio White for Panther Chameleon enclosure

I use Tradescantia for my small species (kinyongia boehmei). Be warned its borderline invasive in a vivarium lol - but easy to pull/remove. The vines are too fragile for a panther, IMO and wouldnt use it. If they climb on it its likely to break and they’ll fall. If you like the look - check...

    Sticky Plants

Not too long - the alcohol evaporates and then if you rinse it down… maybe 20 mins?

    Sticky Plants

Oh you could also put some in a spray bottle to really get in all the crevices on the stem - still wipe with a paper towel and rinse, or the adults will stick around.

    Sticky Plants

Rubbing alcohol is the way to go. Brown scale sucks - such a pain. They have armored shells that protect the adults from a lot of pest treatments - so wiping the leaves and stems with 70% isopropyl on a paper towel is the way to go. Really saturate the towel… which remove the adults. Then I...

Are you retiring from breeding Parson’s in general, or just for a year or so?

    Oops - Kinyongia Boehmei

Saying tearful goodbyes to Porcini. This last clutch, and the pain from her injury, have been too much for her. I am thankful to have been home this week to spend time with her and sit outside. I have no illusions of being a chameleon whisperer - but Porcini is the third chameleon I’ve...

    Oops - Kinyongia Boehmei

Porcini’s been digging and by doing so her wound looks much worse - and possibly another scratch. (No idea!) She dug a few holes and looks to have laid an egg in an uncovered hole, but then dropped 4 eggs randomly around the top soil. 🥺 Hoping the vet will be able to squeeze her in tomorrow...

    Oops - Kinyongia Boehmei

Oh yea, Porcini cut her little rear ankle - right in the fold! Not sure how she did it but here is how she let me know: Its been a very slow healing process and I hope that it does not cause her so much discomfort that she abandons digging for her eggs. So far she seems to be trying but also...

    Oops - Kinyongia Boehmei

Looks like I missed a window with both of my girls - they are both currently digging (how funny they are on the same schedule). I dont interact with them during this time but Porky spotted me during an evening check and wanted to come out for a few minutes. The new k boehmei are still...

I just can't decide... Please help me choose my first Chameleon!

I started my WC in medium reptibreezes and then moved them to 24x15x36 glass vivs. I agree that the bigger you can go the better but 24x15x36 is a similar (maybe larger) square footage to cham size ration as 2x2x4 for a panther. I agree with sonny, they are an active species and will use as...

    Reptaid for RI?

Be aware of the possibility of alcohol poisoning. I think the treatment days recommended are too many. I tried not to use it for more than 5-7 days, with extra water/misting duration. I used it as an emergency jump start until they could be seen by the vet (for ex had a chameleon I suspected...
