yea its not recommended to spray them directly. my cham hates it too. you can spray in an upwards direction so that it falls on them. i do that when my dude is shedding. sometimes i leave the dripper going on a super slow drip and i still mist on top of it.

i got my guy at 8 months and he went straight into his 2x2x4' cage. uses every inch of it too.
