So recently I started using flying feeders for my T-Hoe cham and he loves it. So I want to if its possible to make flying feeders his staple. I am feeding him blue bottle flies since I can use those to get him those good gutloaded nutrients since BBF can be gutloaded. I am also giving him BSF...
Whoa all that in 24 hours? I had no idea overdusting with d3 calcium killed THAT fast. That's wild.
Like one of the previous users said getting a t5ho for a better uvb source would be a good idea. Sorry for your loss
The only thing I can think of that hasn't been covered by others is explaining that if your chameleon falls when climbing around the mesh cage that it isn't Straight up just MBD. I've seen newer keepers make posts of how their chameleon was climbing around the mesh cage and fell, so they jump to...
It's funny you bring up the live bug thing because just recently I saw someone asking if they could just give their chameleon dry food instead of live bugs on another site haha
Took him out to get some sun today. He usually trys to climb onto my head, but not today he was chilling on my arm the whole time. Maybe it was because he kept staring at a nearby ladybug that was flying around lol.
When you say that every afternoon you feed "them" carrot or mango do you mean the crickets or the chameleon?
I'm asking because if you mean the chameleon I haven't ever ran into anything saying T.Hoes eating fruit for their diet. I even asked someone on here a while ago when I first got my...
Usually when I feed my chameleon a hornworm I put it in a dish and he eats it or he eats it directly off of my hand. About 2 days I dropped on of the hornworms in the plant of the enclosure while trying to feed my Chameleon. About an hour ago I while i was misting i noticed the hormworm climbing...
Yup pretty normal. My little guy swaps between sleeping hidden in his vines or just near the highest point of the foilage. He has like 3 sleeping spots haha.
Oh okay reading this helped clear some things up. Around 6 months ago when I was barely collecting all the materials I needed to set up my chameleons cage I went on there to ask what I should get. As in like type of lamp, cage size, etc. I had stated that at the time Iwas planning to get a...
With the area I live in finally warming it up (finally over 50° outside) I thought it'd be nice to let the little guy be outside for a bit. He really really liked this plant for some reason, like I baiscally had to pry him from it after it was time to go back inside lol. He really let his greens...
My chameleon has like a bit of shed on his forehead. It's been there for about a month and a half. Since he's starting up to shed again i thought it'd be a good time to ask about it.
It has not affected him in anyway, but well its just worrying me a bit. Since it is older skin is it okay if i...
Maybe feed the crickets kale so that they taste kaleish to your chameleon?
Also if kale tastes anything like algae maybe try looking into algae powder to dust your crickets with? That way they taste like algae, that might work maybe.
It looks like a mealworm beetle to me and if it is one then yes your cham can eat it. I got a few a while back when i was feeding my little guy a few meal worms
