I want to come live in your Cham's enclosure  I wish we could have locusts where I am. I HATE crickets. Sorry I can't help, but I had to comment on your enclosure
WOW that's cheap!! Here in the states, in Alabama, my initial exam was $150 and the fecal was $15, of course there is only one exotic/reptile vet within a 2 hour radius of where I live.
good, they have managed to find the nooks and crannys in the enclosure so I will never find them to get them out, and I seriously don't think I could anyway as I get the creepies when I even think about it!!!
I got some smaller discoid roaches about a month ago and put them in Ripley's feeding cup, there were about 6. All this time I thought he ate them, BUT apparently at least 3 of them (maybe more) escaped and I discovered them in his enclosure MUCH BIGGER than they were and they now have wings...
Oddly Pothos don't really like a lot of watering, I placed mine so that the mister does not hit the pot it is in and then I just water it by hand once ever couple of weeks or so, mine are growing like mad!!
does anyone know if the high calcium content transfers over to the flies once they pupate? I cannot get Ripley to eat the larva at all, he just looks at them and walks away. He LOVES the flies though, problem is that I just toss the larva in my bioactive enclosure, after he ignores them in his...
while I see your point about trying to make their enclosures mimic their natural habitats, what about the fact that they are indoors with AC in the summer and heat in the winter, both of which suck the moisture out of the air inside, would we not need to replace that moisture in the day time as...
I LOVE your build!!! looks amazing. I am constantly adding to mine, I have found that even though I have a ton of sticks and branches Ripley decides to climb the wall and the screen in other spots so I am constantly adding more here and there :ROFLMAO:
this is so crazy because I just searched this because my guy is doing the exact same thing, no fountain here so I doubt that is the problem. I also give him the vitamin A as retinyl palmitate once a month. When do you notice that he does it more? mine is only first thing in the morning, almost...
I just read all this, I am so sorry @Beman you lost your baby. My heart breaks for you. My prayers are with you and your continued vigilance with Beman, you WILL get through this! Don't ever lose your loving, caring spirit.
I tried to get the picture to show the new trap as well so you knew I just took it ;) my sundews are really small so they only get a few gnats here and there, I needed bigger guns!! :p
