If he is healthy and people don't stress him out I would do it with the precautions you mentioned. Just keep an eye on him for undue stress.
My concern would be all the dogs floating about if he isn't used to dogs they might freak him out.
Still not even half way to 6 figures!
Your ready kindness and love of chameleons serve as an inspiration to many.
Not to mention your knowledge that you freely share.
Thank you for all 17,000 of those posts!
Another thing to consider with glass along with the possibility of reflections causing stress as mentioned above is the possibility that the barrier is not recognized and is confusing / stressful to your chams. They are most likely scratching at the glass because they don't understand why they...
See the first post on this thread for a list.
We are discussing Cites quotas. A decent and simple overview can be found on the Wiki page:

I agree with Sandra, you can't just leave a Cham that young for a few days. If you have a light timer, an auto mister with 2 days of water, and do the extra food bit you will likely be okay. But if anything malfunctions there could be trouble.
Find someone to pop in and mist, check the temps...
I personally would be very careful with water based. A varnish's base works as the solvent to keep it liquid and allow it to be applied. I am suspicious of any water based sealer that claims to be waterproof. It either has solvents added anyway or isn't waterproof.
You want to find a product...
Ever been fishing?
I know there are fishermen around this site.
To me this is wrong and cruel. To the people doing it it is no different than fishing. So I can't really judge. I do wish collection was more humane though...
I almost bought one too. But then I got to thinking I would really want 3, I don't have a set up etc etc... GBU is only about 10 minutes from my house if I change my mind.
I think what is needed is a location and a willingness to conduct smaller 3 to 4 person meetings until it catches on. The other big problem is schedule issues. Weekends / weekdays etc...
I think we are mainly looking for free as well. Which further complicated things.
Many of us want to we just need a suitable location to meet. It is surprisingly difficult to herd Cham keepers. I am actively searching for a location. Any ideas welcome.
You must have got the last decent piece there! I was picking through the various wood piles looking for something like that for the cage I'm building.
Great score!
Other than the Parsons, which was really neat to see at a show, I was disappointed by the Cham selection. Don't get me wrong, there were a ton of beautiful panthers, some really nice veileds, jacksons, and the bearded pygs. I was really impressed by the volume and variety of panthers at various...
I personally only trust screen lids. One thing you can do that I currently use on some bug boxes is just poke a ton of small needle sized holes in the plastic top. I've done this for years in holding bins with no trouble. You do need to watch moisture build up but opening daily when feeding...
And make sure none get loose, they have the potential to be a destructive pest. Some species are really bad, these aren't likely too bad but no sense in taking a chance.
Yeah, they are safe enough and will generally only eat dead crickets. I've seen them eat crickets that weren't quite dead yet though.
I think cricket bins should be cleaned often enough so these aren't necessary.
Dermestid beetle larvae. The same beetles museums use to strip flesh off of dead bodies. Lots of cricket breeders use them as a clean up crew to get rid of dead crix.
I wouldn't feed them off.
I personally think it is lazy and try to avoid breeders that use them but that isn't always...
I'll be wandering around the Sacramento show from about 1:30 til I get bored. If anyone wants to meet up feel free to pm me. I'll check a few times while I'm there.
