    Is menthol safe?

Are you talking about the little heated areas on a Vic's humidifier where you can put the little Menthol aroma pad? If yes I have used them in a room with fish and frogs (non-arboreal) with 0 negative effect. I would point out that there was no positive effect for the sick people in the room...

The only good petco in existance

You're new enough to not know the order of Chameleons... I've complained to PetCo corporate about chameleon treatment and I thought the results were positive. Details here: https://www.chameleonforums.com/threads/large-chain-pet-stores-and-chameleons.112956/ I really don't have a problem with...

Free Roam Crickets lead to eggs in the Enclosure -- Issue or Nonissue?

I have this issue in frog tanks and in my opinion it really isn't an issue. Most of the baby crickets will die fairly quickly either from misting and being drowned or from lack of better cricket food than hibiscus leaves which they seem to have a hard time eating when so tiny. I never had this...

advice would be great, i already read the care sheets fyi

Does nobody else notice it seems that dehydration might be an issue? With the yellow urate and ice cubes being used as the sole source of water this would be my primary concern. Get a spray bottle or mister and give a good long misting with warm water (it will cool down plenty as soon as it...

Ghann's Crickets... how many should I get?

I'm not sure what species Ghann's is selling these days but as a rough guideline crickets take 60 days to mature, then maybe another 30 days before they kick the cricket bucket. How many you feed off a day should determine what sizes you get to be able to actually use 1,000. I bet if you asked...

    Veil NOT Veiled

I know this is a ignorance disguised as a joke, or a joke disguised as ignorance thread (not sure which but it is certainly one or the other) but I feel someone ought to point out that the common name doesn't matter. If I go to any pet store in the US and ask to see a veil or a veiled they will...

Making a self efficient ecosystem. Help please?!

Mites can be removed from wood with a little time around a hot shot strip which many vets say are indeed safe for use around reptiles (with a limited time of exposure.) Did you use Marine grade ply? In a pet store I worked at in the early 90s we had a marine grade ply epoxy sealed and...

What more can I do to encourage WC to eat?

In my experience variety is the best way to coax a picky eater. If it was me I would offer: Black Soldier Fly larvae (phoenix worms) and freshly hatched flies (nutritional value is debatable but they have long fluttering wings and trigger a good feeding response). Then the suite of other...

Making a self efficient ecosystem. Help please?!

I just did a google search, liquid EPDM is used commonly for bonding pond liners and is considered fish safe... I would suppose if it is safe for fish there should be 0 issues. I will be using this on my next project thanks for the tip!
