Chameleon subreddit... is it for real?

Who does this guy think he is? What’s he going to do with those screenshots of me messaging people? Serve me? Send me a strongly worded letter?

    Yet another safe plant question

Hey all! I was just wondering if all pothos plants are considered safe? I’d love to add some Manjula, njoy, Baltic blue, and other varieties to spice up my chams enclosures! Also wondering if rhaphidophora tetrasperma or rhaphidophora decursiva are safe as well? Thanks!

How should I position the lights?

Diagonally across is usually the way to go, or at least from what I’ve been told. My chams LOVE their sansi lights, what I do is angle the heat lamp to where my sansi is pointing. See pic for example. Chameleons bask in the brightest spot they can find, even if it’s not the warmest. Also, try...

Chameleon subreddit... is it for real?

I don’t think I ever would have guessed they would ever ever unban anyone. My ban has still been upheld, probably because I called them inept 🤣 I’ll just continue DM’ing people I see getting bad advice and poaching them and bring them here or to r/chameleonhusbandry haha

    Bessie Has Evolved!

Love watching them shed! She’s so cute! That scene from Jurassic Park used to scare the SHIT out of me. I just had like war flashbacks to my childhood watching that and getting scared to death 😂

    Veiled chameleon

@Evelinguerrero here’s what you need to do, since you are brand new to chameleons, please go through the website linked below and read all about veiled chameleons. It is a LOT of reading, but I think it will address many of your questions and concerns, and may show you why these are complex...

    Husbandry

@Evelinguerrero hi! If you’d like, why don’t you copy and paste this into the comments of your other thread. We can go over it all over there and keep it nice and tidy. I would be more than happy to look it over and come up with some helpful suggestions for you, but making multiple threads clogs...

Veiled chameleon is a 15x30 cage good

You have been told multiple times that your chameleon cannot live in anything smaller than a Reptibreeze XL. You have also been told that you can’t pick one over the other of the things I listed for you. That’s why I referred to it as the bare minimum. Those are the things you start off with. As...

    Veiled chameleon

This 100%. There is no alternative or cutting corners. The list I made is the absolute bare minimum cheapest options out there. Everything is equally as important because they work together for your chameleon - they cannot go without one of these things. That’s like asking you if you’d rather...

    Veiled chameleon

Okay, then we have to get him out of there ASAP. For beginners, glass enclosures are not recommended. He cannot live a full happy life in a fish tank. I've taken a look at the cart that @BostonKeith was so kind enough to make, and I have a few adjustments of my own, to try to help you get the...

    Uvb distance - I’m confused

@Beman Okay this is what I’ve done right now. The uvb is diagonally and her basking branch is lowered to be 8” from the top of her screen, it’s about 10” diagonally from the uvb - better?

Here are pics. The one with the pink plant is my females, the other is my males. I will check the bulbs right now. Sorry I’m being a dumbass lol

    Uvb distance - I’m confused

Okay, so the branch itself should be 8-9” away, putting the chams back when it’s on the branch about 6-7” away? For both of them? Even though my male is smaller? Thanks so much!
