Ok thank goodness. Yeah I keep the fan on his cage and he's never gaping or anything so I think he's comfy. I'm moving up north in a couple weeks. That will be a big adjustment for him . Hell have to learn that his heat lamp exists lol.
Chameleon Info:
Your Chameleon - veiled, boy, probably about 2 and a half months old
Handling - girlfriend hand cup feeds sometimes, I've held him about twice. Other than that just look at him
Feeding - as many fruit flies as he can eat. With the normal calc without D3 every day, with D3 or...
So bubba seems to be doing good. He trusts us and doesn't run away or get scared when he sees us. He even willingly walked on my hand about two times now since I got him. He is always green now and loves his fruit flies. I noticed his chest is really pointy? Anybody ever hear of this?
It's 50-70 percent all the time. I know that's a bit high but that's the area I live in currently. I mist the lad at night to get the humidity higher. I'm using a T5 5.0 HO Uvb bulb that's pretty new. Probably have a little over 10 branches attached to the cage, and a bunch of tiny branches...
Just the normal 78 degrees area. Like I said he's usually pretty active going around his cage hunting bugs. But after I tried turning the basking lamp on for like 15 minutes he just has not moved much
Yeah I'm getting dragon strands soon and then will get live plants. I have a shefflera and a pothos at the bottom right now growing. The temps are usually 70-80 degrees throughout the day and humidity is always 50-70 percent.
Hey all. Bubba's been doing good the past couple weeks I would say. He loves eating fruit flies! He'll eat the pinhead crickets but I think he likes the fruit flies more. (Might have something to do with the cricket jumping on him once and he freaked out). Anyways he usually is patrolling his...
I have to move soon to a place that's 9 hours away. What is the best method of travel for bringing my chameleon with us? He is going to be roughly 2 months old when we move. Should I try to move overnight and put him in a box with a stick? Any ideas??
Oh yeah for sure no worries there. He's too weak to bite off the fake plants. He tried once then never again. I'm getting dragon strand ledges in a couple months so then live plants will be an actual option for me. I'm growing a shefflera and a pothos at the bottom right now though, they are...
Thanks! He's really smart too. He hasn't climbed the ceiling of his cage at all, doesn't try to eat the fake plants at all, and now associates my better half with food. So any time she's in front of him, he fast walks onto his eating branch
