    Looking for critique and suggestions

 Wow your house get's COLD. Temp guns are good I would say 70-75 degrees would be ideal, and i think the best way to go would be a ceramic heat emitter because they don't give off light. Make sure you repot your pothos with organic soil and wash off the leaves and vines very...

As long as you place his basking perch close enough to the bulb where the temps are around 85 degrees there is really no need to change the wattage. I also like to stick to lower wattage bulbs because there is a much lower risk of burns. Like Ace stated, I think a larger cage would be in order...

    Does anyone use RO water?

Yes, RO water works great for chams. Although I don't have a system yet, I plan to purchase one and use it specifically for my chams as well.

is something wrong with my chameleon? I need help!

Just a little help on your setup: Don't use waterfalls , these build up bacteria especially since chameleons will deficate in them. Instead use a dripper which can simply be a small hole in a cup or get a zoo med dripper that is only like 10 bucks. You will need to switch his fiberglass...

is something wrong with my chameleon? I need help!

Curious, did this problem occur suddenly or over a period of time? Most likely there is a problem with your supplement schedule. Like silkyslim asked, can you please explain your supplement schedule. However, supplementation issues doesn't explain why your cham is holding its mouth open. Are you...

    Large Tortoise's

I personally started out with a russian. They are a great species; they stay small only about 8 inchs max and reasonably priced. The only thing you have to watch for with this species is that they like to burrow. You have to tunnel proof your tort pen so they don't escape when they are outside...

    Large Tortoise's

They cost 600 dollars I believe on Tortoise Supply.com. I have a pair of Sri Lankan Star tortoises and their care is basically the same as Indians. Indians only get about around 10 inches max with females slightly larger. Sri Lankans get a bit bigger though. As a hatchling you will want to keep...

    Large Tortoise's

Galapagos Tortoises are an endangered species of animal and do require many permits in order to legally obtain and care for one, regardless if they are captive bred or not. The largest species of tortoise that requires no permits is the Aldabra Tortoise. This species is second in size only to...
