people have told me to use a shower curtain and that it works fine. I decided to use large sheets of trash bag since its nearly weightless and used wire to attach it. i didnt want to risk tearing the screen. i just tucked them under the bottom panel that came with my reptibreeze and the water...
our problem is that we have a glass sliding door on the side that faces the sun the longest. There are blinds on it, but the heat still goes through them. we're about to tear down the blinds and buy a massive blackout curtain.
I read about the t5 bulbs. they are tubes and fit into a strip...
thank you for all the replies! don't know what i would do without you all and this forum. I have a veiled, who should be happy with the 90 degree basking spot, but he isn't. he is also irritated because his shed is going slow. just his tail left. so he is moving about constantly. i will turn his...
i think for a hand built it looks pretty bad *** so far. you may have to put a branch or something closer to the top for basking. use an infrared laser thermometer to make sure you get the branch just the right distance from the heat source. your cage has more foliage than mine does lol i see...
thats exactly what mine did was drop leaves until it was dead. it didn't start actually dying til i put it in the cage and i'm about 99% sure it died because it was too close to the UVB. I bought the tree and had it in my bathroom for almost a month and it was happy and constantly had new...
thanks Jan! I just cant believe how huge it is! sucks that most of his plants will be pothos but they seem to be the hardiest plant in the world.. they retain so much water never get root rot and grow so quickly. i am having a bit of anxiety about having to take the ficus, fake vines, and...
the ficus in my chams cage is dead, i think- it took me a long time to find a replacement.. but i saw these in walmart a few weeks back and finally got one. this sucker is 3 1/2 ft tall and a jungle all in itself!! So much awesome!! Costed $25 including tax!
i don't think the picture does it...
the hot weather in NC here is kicking my air conditioner's butt. it has been 83-85F in the house lately, causing his basking spot to hit 90 and his cool spot to be 80. He sat on the screen half the day with his mouth open until i let him out. ive been misting very often but it's not helping the...
yea its not recommended to spray them directly. my cham hates it too. you can spray in an upwards direction so that it falls on them. i do that when my dude is shedding. sometimes i leave the dripper going on a super slow drip and i still mist on top of it.
holy crap that is a lot.there is a site that sells the cups really cheap you could start filling them up a dozen at a time to sell. i read you just put about 15 eggs per cup and they hatch out into it and start eating. http://www.greatlakeshornworm.com/hornworm-supplies.html the cups are...
my guy will be a year old next month. he only just got to where i leave the door open and he comes out. now he gets on his favorite curtain rod and gives me fuss when it's time to go back in the cage. 2 ways to their heart 1.food 2.natural sunlight lol
