My veiled at 3.5yrs old and he is full length of 2ft i have been feeding him every other day since he was about 9 months old. He can eat 12 crickets in a sitting. 12 superworms. 1 single full grown hornworm. Or 2 adult dubia roaches in a sitting. I give him treats on his off days mainly Spring...
Wow he's a big boy! He looks very handsome! I have a veiled and he doesn't like crickets either if they escape from the feeding cup he won't go after them. Sometimes he quit eating them entirely. It's normal.
i'm trying to plump her up by feeding her in between regular feedings. using superworms. on regular days her food varies. i can NOT get her to eat a hornworm for some reason
ah. well she is a rescue i have no idea how the previous owner was feeding her but he did have the right lights. Only thing i know is that her basking spot was too far from the heat lamp so i added 3 levels of branches and now her basking temps are perfect. She also was not getting any...
Like title says i'm asking if anyone knows what the average size is for a 7 month old female veiled. Weight/length.. I got her on August 30th 2017 and she was 5 months old at that time. She has only shed twice. But it looks like she hasnt grown at all since i've gotten her.
So i have a 4ft tall pothos in my chams reptibreeze. It was doing great and very robust just a few weeks ago, but now that the season has changed here there isnt enough light coming in the window and now the plant is drooping. Also the leaves are starting to yellow and ive been plucking them. I...
I know its not good to use as a staple but i was given this tiny 4 month old female veiled who was skinny when i got her and despite my efforts she does not look to be putting on weight. i would weigh her but shes still new here and i dont want to stress her out. She refuses to eat hornworms or...
i meant to put this here last night but fell asleep. when next year rolls around and i go to clean and freshen up the roach tank i will make sure to wear gloves and a mask, just incase, because i do have asthma. And the only current picture i have of his cage is crappy. can't see the lights...
hum thats the first ive heard of it. i keep them in a 30 gallon tall on a bottom shelf in my bedroom. sometimes having them in an open area freaaks out my friends so i just have them back in my room. havent had any issues in the year i've had them so far so good
ah i guess that makes sense. i can dig up a photo if you would like to sneek a peek. we can post photos directly to the forum now without having to host them elsewhere right?
you know what i just realized? that questionnaire doesn't ask about any possible drainage system. what if i didnt have a drainage system? what if my paper towels were moldy?!!! (im not being serious, but that could be a potential problem that others aren't aware of so it might be good to add. I...
Sorry i don't think their is anything wrong with him he is literally just lazy and crickets are his least favorite food. Sometimes he goes off them entirely. I have a perfect setup. The only thing i want that i don't have is a good jungle dawn for his plant. he has a 4ft pothos in his cage and...
My male turned 3 in june. Easy to remember he's the same age as my oldest kid. He doesn't even really like crickets anymore so if i let them loose in his cage he won't even try to eat them. I have to pull off their back legs and stick them in the cup so they can't escape. I agree with you about...
Oh i have done all of that with my older cham. He doesnt care to be directly misted no matter what the temp is. Unfortunately for him because he gets stuck shed so que me chasing him around the cage with warm water in the mister. Like dude, i'm trying to help, get back here!! He will eat from...
Me: *starts misting the chameleon* Chameleon: *runs away. nooo you idiot i don't want to get wet! I just want to take a sip. like 120 sips. in a row. without taking a breath. behind this bush where you cant see me. i dont like you so go away. but dont stop misting!*
