Help! Vieled Cham not eating after laying and very weak

19 eggs is not unusually small - so I expect that that's all for eggs this time. Of course your reptile shop sold you an expensive red basking light but a normal bulb will do the same job (its only for heat). For vitamins it is best to use a plain calcium dust (no D3) every day, and one with D3...

    evaluate my setup

In general, looks really good to me. Perhaps a little leafier on the right side one, and a couple more branches in the left. Your female is going to be happier if she can't be seen by the male when he gets to 'that age' so something between the enclosures to block view would be better. Probably...

Help! Vieled Cham not eating after laying and very weak

I would assume mainly locusts and worms (as said in op). I like your thinking though - try offering something different to spark appetite if still no eating in a couple of days, right? I didn't notice the elbow at first, now it's mentioned I zoomed in and it does look like it's swollen. If it's...

    Proper Introduction & Questions

I second that you are off to a great start. I think you have time before egg laying, she shows no sign that she is gravid (she is well fed though :)). 7 months old is around about the time they will become receptive, sometimes earlier, sometimes later (depends on how hot and how much food...

Help! Vieled Cham not eating after laying and very weak

It sounds like she has had a difficult first laying, there are many possible reasons. From what you say (being first cham, not sure of many details ) I would guess perhaps because she has been 'well fed' (greedy females when making eggs lol) she has probably laid a lot of eggs. I think she...

    I need help!!!!

From the info you've given so far it could be just that he's not hungry. He could have reached his terrible teen phase where he goes on 'hunger strike' and will only eat his favorite food. It could be a few different things, so filling out the form will be really useful for anyone else looking...

How do I know if my chamleon is drinking?

The easiest and most obvious way is to check the faeces. There is a brown section and a white section. The white section is the urate part. If this is yellowish there is slight dehydration. If it is orange then the chameleon is definitely not drinking properly. If it's pure white or just a...

Who can explain what is "shotgun" treatment

It just means a broad spectrum approach to solving a problem. You may know the term "Scattergun approach". It means the same thing. It could mean several kinds of antibiotics to treat a mystery infection, for another example, or making lots of adjustments to a machine and hoping that one...

Help Please, my baby veiled chameleon wont eat

What camimom says is all true, fruit flies are a great idea. It is too soon to start worrying though. Chameleons often take a few days to settle in to a new home. The best thing to do is offer different tiny insects but disturb her as little as possible for now.
