Him falling asleep when you handle him is a defense mechanism, which means hes so stressed and scared hes given uo and thinks he will be eaten amd hes ready to just let that happen.

Btw you dont need a mistking but its ideal, you can do hand mist and dripper combo (but if hand misting i would def get a dripper that way he can drink whenever he wants)
Also gutloading your feeders is pretty important as well.

You absolutely need to dust yuyr feeders with calcium without D3 everyday....two mondays out of the month dust with multivitamins and the other 2 mindays dust with calcium with D3 this is non negotiable, this is 100% needed.

Rico is 3.75 weeks old male veioed chameleon low end translucent.
He eats 12-15 1/2" crickets a day dusted in calcium power, once aevery 2weeks with cal plus d3, and on the off week of cal plus d3 a dust with multivitamins.

And his colours are coming in nicely ... he has a nice bright yellow sripe along the side of his body its just not present atm
