    Chameleon not eating

Diagnosis is pneumonia. They are giving him antibiotics and critical care stuff to help him regain the weight. I will also have to put a solution into his fogger that will act as a nebulizer treatment. Cage also has to be repositioned away from wall with window. It’s a grim situation right now...

Thank you, I will. I have to take him to another vet cause the vet at the Orlando location is on holiday. I will be leaving in about an hour to take him.

He had one done in June by the previous owner and since I had gotten him shortly after and he was doing ok I did not.

    Chameleon not eating

Ok, good at least that is settled. I just hope he will be ok. I don't like seeing him like this. I like it better when he gets angry with me and hides in his Pothos.

    Chameleon not eating

I think you may be correct....the branch underneath it that he stands on is measuring in at 81 degrees. Is that sufficient enough?

    Chameleon not eating

Thank you everyone. He has not had a fecal done with me and I believe the previous owner had one done in June. He also seems to rub the left side of his head on the branch. I will take him to the vet in Orlando first thing tomorrow. What is the best basking bulb to help with the temperature? My...

    Chameleon not eating

He does not stay that way though. Not sure if it matters, but he will open his eyes and move around some, but in general he is staying in the basking spot.

    Jackson’s Not moving around!

Those circular UVB bulbs in the dual dome don't offer sufficient enough UVB for them, so they can still develop MBD from that.

    Chameleon not eating

It's been over a week. I was hoping it would improve after the bulb change, but it hasn't.

    Chameleon not eating

My chameleon Leon does not seem to want to eat. He also is staying at the top to sleep. I live in Central Florida, but I noticed this right after the few cold snaps we've had. The room he is in is between 73-77 degrees. His basking spot seems to only get to 74-77, despite using a 100w basking...

    Chameleon at bottom of cage

He seems alright now, I’m just concerned that he hasn’t touched the discoids and seems to be only eating leaves

    Chameleon at bottom of cage

I have not seen him eat any roaches, but it seems like he's resorting to eating leaves. I have started breeding the discoids, so any ideas on how to get him to eat them? I have made a feeder cup too.

    Chameleon at bottom of cage

I just checked on Leon before going to bed for the night and he was at the bottom of the cage. I have never seen him do this before. He seemed ok when I had him climb on a stick to put him back on a branch. His legs and ninja mittens seemed ok and he was gripping the branch and walking well. I...
