    Water & Pedialyte soak?

I believe it's proven that chameleons do not absorb liquids through their skin as some other reptiles and amphibians do. I'll give pedialyte orally for hydration and electrolytes if I get a Cham through shipping, or females after laying. I suppose the warmth of the water may stimulate a...

Spraying your Cham Directly when Misting?

I spray directly as well, some like it, some don't. I feel it helps with retained sheds, eye problems etc. I have a male that seems to retain sheds on his spines once in a while, and even though he absolutely hates it, usually a few days of heavy misting helps it fall off.

    I've tried everything!! (PLEASE HELP!)

It's a good start yes. She doesn't look too bad. I've seen chameleons in a lot worse condition bounce right back. As long as you are following the care sheets on this site she should be fine.

    I've tried everything!! (PLEASE HELP!)

Her eyes don't look too sunken in yet so she must be drinking at some point. She is a little on the skinny side though, looking at the base of her tail. I have some chams that only defecate once or twice a week as well. I'd continue heavy misting (as long as you have good drainage) and...

    Huge screen enclosures?

You'll likely have to cover some of the sides to keep up the humidity. I would also build a good drainage system into the bottom. Build the cage, then use a digital hygrometer to test it over a few days to see what levels you're getting. Generally a few mistings of one or two minutes a day is...

    glass terrarium vs. screen??? help

No all my chams are inside. How low does the relative humidity get outside in Florida? It's much more difficult to keep humidity up than to lower it. Throughout the winter it's literally a desert here in Alberta with humidity at around 6% outside. I have an in furnace humidifier but it costs...

    glass terrarium vs. screen??? help

I'm in Canada and the temp and humidity fluctuates wildly here. I still use all screen cages but I'll cover up two or even three sides in the winter to keep the humidity up. I can't imagine having that type of control with a glass terrarium unless you had a fan system set up to move the air...

    Any suggestions

It's always the wisest course of action to have the proper enclosure set up and running properly before you purchase the animal. I'll often let my enclosure run for weeks while I check temps and ensure everything is working properly. I'm sure you'll remember that when you purchase animals in...

    help with dusting crickets ect

Yes go back to the pet store and inform the worker that different reptiles need different supplement schedules. To much d3 can cause a myriad of issues in reptiles, especially in those that also synthesize d3 from the sun, such as chameleons. Not to mention that many vitamins and minerals can...

    Humidity issues

Towels will actually wick moisture out of the enclosure. It can't be an absorbent material, has to be plastic.

    Dubia roaches and crickets

Crickets can be a little more aggressive than roaches so I wouldn't. It's possible the crickets would cause the roaches to hide and prevent them from gutloading.

    Humidity issues

You can cover a side or two with plastic or a shower curtain. Cover more or less until humidity levels are where you want them.

Planning this years vacation, cruise to Madagascar from east coast US?

That's a looooong cruise. Not sure if something like that exists. It's likely that you'd have to fly to South Africa or another mainland African country and take a cruise from there.

    Please help

Sure looks like she does. Has she been roaming the cage and digging at the bottom at all? Is she still eating and drinking normally? If you can fill out the form in the link below we'll be able to help you better, but in my opinion she's definitely gravid, and definitely far along...

On the ground for a week now?

I agree with jajeanpierre. You mention that you don't have a basking bulb because the room is 85 degrees without it, but the chameleon needs a gradient in order to regulate it's body heat. It should be 85 degrees under the basking bulb and about 72 at the bottom of the cage. This gives them...

how often should I shower my 3 month old veiled ?

I house 1000's at a time so it may not be comparable to you, but I'll post some as soon as I get off work. It's basically the same setup as you'll see if you google it. Large Rubbermaid tub, egg crates on one side, water/food in open space. I have so many at one time that mold is never an...

how often should I shower my 3 month old veiled ?

I'll usually do three or four at a time , rotating different stuff out each week. How many crickets do you usually have at one time? If any less than about 100, you only need to feed maybe a tablespoon worth of veggies at a time. Keep cutting back until you notice that the crickets have...

how often should I shower my 3 month old veiled ?

I use the small balls that expand in water. Same thing as the gel but I buy them in bulk online because i have so many animals. Trust me, after a while you'll enjoy gutloading your feeders as much as feeding them to your Cham. It really gives a keeper a lot of pride when your husbandry is...

    Too Skinny??

That sort of dehydration doesn't happen overnight. His eyes look like they were virtually non existent in that picture. I'm sorry for your loss but PLEASE, everyone do proper research and have your habitat perfect before you buy any animal. There are far too many stories like this on the...
