I just got my first batch of bsfl last week. I was concerned because a few turned into wriggling pupa and Karma hadn't eaten them yet. But don't think I'll be "rolling them in my fingers" to check their freshness date!

She was a bit pissed and grunted a few times, but not bad considering.

I still plan on taking her in to the vet to verify, am sure he will have something to ensure she won't get an infection.

Yes I do, have actually considered getting one before for work. I tried to tighten the pics a bit.

It looks as if a string we're wrapped around it. Even with the dark I can still see her scales, but not right at the "cut".

At the pet store we did not see it, we noticed it turning dark a day after, I assumed it was a possible injury from the tub we carried her home in? She has shed once since home, which is when it started looking constricted.

Thanks I will. I work for a Veterinarian as well and taking her in tomorrow. Also extremely worried (just started looking rough 2 days ago, and started researching what could be wrong, she uses it well still, actually already looks better after applying oil)
