If you have a large plant near a bright window, try to put him in it temporarily and see if you see any color change. I have found that my chameleons get very colorful when they get a new plant and a blast of rays. I like to think they are happy colors.
I would move all of those mid level branches near the top or back so you have room to fill up the middle with a large plant. A good schefflera can be found at the big hardware stores. Hibiscus are in stock now and are good but tend to drop leaves indoors. Fill it up with foliage.
Looks fantastic! I want an update in a few months when the plants grow in. It looks like you've got room in the bottom to replant the plants in some larger pots. I'd do that.
The only real incandescent bulbs I could find lately were some A15 from 1000bulbs and they were iffy quality and small. Is halogen included in the ban? If so, RIP…
Hi everyone!
We have many good size males and females ready to go. The individuals below are an example of the colors coming out now. Many available. Males are 5-8 inches in length and feeding on ½ inch crickets or larger. Females range from 4-7 inches and are feeding on ½ inch and larger...
While I do believe that a chameleon can be acclimated and change behavior over time, in my experience individual chameleons have different personalities that stick with them. I have had chameleons that are 100% friendly and others that are always grumps. My babies and juveniles seem to all be...
Crickets are a necessary evil in my chameleon keeping. I don't like them because they stink, die faster than roaches, and escape easier. Unfortunately, not all my chameleons will eat roaches readily. Nutritionally they are great.
Very cool! Are these feeders for you? How to the chameleons like them? Mine take dubias ok. Only some will eat male red runners and wont get near the shiny females. Also some will eat the lobster roaches but its hard to say.
What are you guys seeing for FedEx Overnight prices? I have been paying around $90 through Reptiles2You and am a little surprised because I live near a FedEx Hub. I thought prices were around $55-70 not to long ago. Is this a recent price increase or am I misinformed? Thanks!
Flex seal leaves a tacky rubbery feel even when dry similar to caulk. Good product and could probably be wiped clean without issue, but I imagine if it was dry, the paper towels would tear as we’ll sometimes.
