Actually I got a closer look and though its not dark anymore , it is still a lil discolored. He is also shedding since yesterday.

His tail looks fine now too..

Whatever was going with his eyes sure seems to have cleared itself up. He's eating well and seems to be doing fantastic

Vet felt like it looked more like an injury but could potentially be infection.. Wanted me to keep eye on it. My eyes suck so it's hard for me to see as well. It's def a bit darker but does not appear necrotic

What you are describing isnt a breed difference but a locale difference. Both are Panther Chameleon. I'm sure an expert can correct me if I'm wrong. Different breed would be Veiled vs Jackson's, vs Panther.. This is how I understand it
