My guy is all bark no bite...so i'm not sure. I can't imagine they are that bad if people continue to handle them.
But then again I can only say that because I have not been bitten *knock on wood*
Ok, I thought that, she is still a chubby chub. That's an easy enough way to tell. You are a mind saver kinyonga. You've kept me from losing my mind with worry. Thank you so much!
They don't move enough for my chams. My b/f has to hold them with a cricket so they will eat both at the same time. Crickets are fiesty...they like them better. I just have a hard time getting them to eat any worms in general... Have you experienced this as well?
Julirs is a genius, I would heed her advice. I can't imagine that it is easier to clean a cage that has substrate compared to one that doesn't. I don't think it is worth the risk of an impaction personally but if you have a good vet on hand 24 hours a day to fix the problems that you will have...
A bit wordy....sorry
I say just buy whichever is more affordable for you at this moment because it won't be long until you own the other. They are addictive. My b/f and I are on the slow path to owning at least one of each species.
We haven't even owned our first for a year yet and we are...

I don't notice a heat difference in any of the rooms I have reptiles in. Maybe just a few degrees but nothing drastic and I have 6 in one room and like 10 in the other. The lights are only hot when you are right next to them.
I just put extra veggie scraps in there with the crickets. Celery, carrots, apple peels. Do not use avacado or potato. Avacado are toxic to pretty much all reptiles and potatoes have been known to cause gout.
If you look up posts on gutloading there are recipes with yogurt and babyfood and you...
she dug one hole yesterday, but wse leave her alone for the most part but who knows how many she has dug.
What are the tell tale signs that she has laid incase we see her after the fact and it doesn't look obvious by the soil?
She dug one hole already, I checked this morning. Bug she still hasn't laid eggs. When is the point that I should panic? We bred her on Nov. 26th and I am panicking...
