    My Veiled is a Sped....

I think this is what i'll do. He enjoys greens and i will buy extra just for him. I think he is hilarious though just munching on his plant. Should I go light on the carrots and stuff?

    My Veiled is a Sped....

OK So my Veiled enjoys eating the hell out of his pothos..... We had to get our Veiled a real plant because he kept eating the fake one, and we were worried about him becoming impacted... Now he's just destroying his pothos, I just fed him a bit of Romaine Lettuce, I read that a bit of...

What live plant's should I try

My veiled loves his pothos. He actually snacks on it from time to time. I imagine an usumbara umbrella plant is good for them too. My Panther has that kind.

Can you breed veileds with panthers.

I doubt he is offended though. Are you pedro? It's all in good fun. He must have expected something like this...:p

    metabolic bone disease

Yes, too much is bad. If he has a white powdery discharge coming from his nose you will know it is too much. Sadly you can't make him better, faster by feeding him more supplements. It will just take time and proper husbandry.

HELP!!! i think my cham is dying --please help asap!!!!

Are you sure the vet said nothing to you about a bone disease? Was it a vet who specialzed in chameleons or just reptiles in general? His front leg in that picture looks like a noodle. Have you googled metabolic bone disease? The images that pop up look just like his little arm.

    Rafiki update

My vet said if you push the fluid out very slowly there is little chance that the little guy will aspirate. My girl ended up being fine so i didn't get the chance to try. I think the dripping on the nose is a good idea too.

If it was decided that he is close enough to the uv light then that is great. If not you could always screw the fixture into to the wall behind his cage closer to the bottom. I had mine vertically for a while and it seemed to work great.

    Chameleons: Mythbusted!

When you put chameleons in a cage with lots of colors they will learn those colors and use them later in life. Like pinks, reds, greens, blues, and so on.

    Lets Solve another Wives Tale...

but really thats not what i think they were talking about... They are saying like you have a baby veiled, and its green, they surround it with all kinds of colors so they will have the colors when are older. Does that make sense? How i see it, they are born with such color morphology and...
