I would like to take my 3 brevs out if their enclosure and fix a plant that hasnt been roooted properly. One may or may not be gravid. From what I saw 3 weeks ago she was huge. But within this past week she looks smaller.
Either way, I want to fix the darn plant and see if there's eggs. She's...
Im not sure if I mentioned it yet but the eggs have healthy pink veins in them. SO yay! I've actually come across some more pics of people with pygmy eggs in vermiculite, and there are others whose eggs were the same color. I hope the babies turn out ok though, if it was a problem with her...
I have three Pygmy Chameleons and I have an Anubias plant which I *think* is non-toxic. Just wanted to make sure before putting it in the viv. It'd be perfect for them to climb on because it has long thin stems and big full leaves...very attractive plant, but is it safe?
I found three eggs while cleaning the enclosure tonight because it was too moist. I still need those hydroballs and mesh so I'll be tearing apart the poor little things enclosure again in a few days,..which Im thinking may be a good idea in case I find more eggs. But anyways, these eggs were...
K so now the yellow spots are darker, even brownish........im taking it this ones not going to hatch.....i dont know if i cared for it improperly or what but i did everything i was supposed to do.
She still has not dropped anymore, not really looking plump either, no digging, she seems fine....but still...only one egg. I decided to move it to a ssandwich sized container with vermiculite and poked holes in the lid for ventilation. I dont think its looking good, though.....the egg is...
Laurie. You will be happy to know that I've decided that I going to be strong. I left her with everything she needs..nesting box and all..misted and covered the enclosure and will not be making one peep until tomorrow. I'm determined! Maybe a bit of a spazz but all in good fun ;)
Never heard...
hahaaha! chill is not a word in my dictionary. LOL. I'm actually researching on how to make an egg laying box now. She left her burrow and is still up on her vine and she looks stressed/mad. I think she wants these eggs OUT!
I'm not sure if I should get a tupperware container that is shorter...
O.K. I am back for another update. After burying her egg for her, and covering her tank, and squashing two crickets that were probably annoying the heck out of her ( found it easier than having to chase them around the tank and cause disturbance ) ... i cheated and peeked a little bc I was...
Hi Giaindell and lisa..
pics are coming soon, i promise ;)
lisa, i AM guilty of peeping a lot, maybe that's pissing her off!! lol i might cover her tank a bit more so it's more private .. thank you for telling me about the egg needing to be buried a little, i was wondering about that. I wont...
I've been doing research and some people say it takes all day for them to lay the eggs and others say it should be all in one clutch. The problem is when I bought her she was burrowing and most likely ready to lay the clutch. so when I brought her home and moved her to a new tank I "interrupted"...
I brought a Pygmy home from the place I work on Tuesday. Her belly looked really big until I put her in her 10 gal with some hide and a light misting. So the question of whether she was gravid sorta left my mind. BUT! this morning I woke up to see one little egg next to some of the moss I gave...
