I'm sorry you refuse to listen, you're are 9 and can't understand what people are trying to point out...Google MBD, look at the pics for yourself. When it dies, please don't make another post trying to make people feel sorry for you. We all tried to warn you. Some people may think I'm being...
That's a lot of stress for a cham, like others have said, as far as MBD I really don't see it, some have a bent caspue, you mentioned the stool was runny have you fed it any wild caught insects? If the stool continues to be runny you may want to find a vet that KNOWS about chameleon.
Your Veiled is doomed, you won't listen to the people because your vet likely doesn't deal with reptiles. Look at its spine, even I can see the kinks, the casque is bent, the jaw in one pic is beginning to draw back causing the front of his mouth to stay slightly open. All the signs are there...
A friend of mine had a free range room set up, all was good until his Panther started showing signs of MBD, he started paying attention and sure enough his crickets were cleaning the calcium off themselves. He started using a feeder cup after a trip to the vet and the situation eventually got fixed.
Just remember when you dust the crickets they will try and clean themselves and the dust may fall off, so it make not get enough calcium, just keep an eye on the crickets.
I agree we need to remember he's 9 but he needs to realize (Or his parents) that this is a serious problem and it may get really bad if he doesn't listen to people. I remember being 9 and my pet Anole died, I cried my little heart out but he seems to think the vet made the right call on saying...
I would get a second opinion, most chameleons are tree dwellers and can take a fall! I suspect the vet doesn't know what he's talking about, the cham needs an xray (I think) I know you said you're going back in a month but if it's MBD your cham might not make it! How did you break it's leg on a...
Did you get xrays, that Veiled looks like it has MBD, the rubbery jaw, the legs, the kinked spine...Could just be me but you might want to get a second opinion, just my two cents.
Are you gutloading the crickets and mealworms? Waxworms are fatty, they should only be given as a treat or to fatten up a sick cham, hornworms, silkworms, dubai roaches (My veileds wouldn't touch them) if a cham isn't getting nourishment from its food they can be picky. A good gutload dry and...
I would take it to the vet to be on the safe side, I've seen Veileds that have MBD that have a spongy casque. We need to see a full pic. I could be wrong but that second pic, his front leg at the wrist looks a little puffy. Just my two cents, better safe than sorry!
It seems you're using way to much Calcium with D3, you should dust your crickets with Calcium (without D3) every other feeding, use Calcium with D3 once a month, get some min/vitamins and use that 2 a month. As far as the mealworms I wouldn't feed them to him as the primary food source, they're...
