Ok, I am definitely going then. As long as I am not traveling again. It's been crazy lately. @Calypratus mentioned supplies, which is brilliant. I will have to see what I can order for pick up at the show. Feeders, for sure.
That's an excellent point and I don't know how I didn't think about it, but I don't think that's it because they are brown and there are very few of them. I also checked the soil and didn't see any crawling there. We had them in our house plants once.
Now I'll have to catch one and really take...
Has anyone attended any of the Reptile Shows organized by the North American Reptile Breeders Conference? There is one happening literally 15 minutes away from me in March and I am thinking about attending...
Yes? No? Worth the time?
That is true... Cats are aloof, moody and really just own the house while you pay rent. Chameleons on the other hand... oh wait, they are exactly the same except they also require periodic ritual sacrifice to appease and hiss a little louder.
I don't see it happening. I somehow got fruit flies in the soil of our vailed's enclosure. He doesn't even notice them. If you introduce fruit flies to your enclosure and have life plants in pots or a bioactive setup like I do, you will have a living colony. The only way to get rid of them is to...
There is always an instigator out there. LOL
If I bring home another animal, I will be sleeping in the garage.... not even the couch. Hell, I don't even qualify for the couch now!
Then again, it is a very large garage......
Well, first we need to known if you're buying or if it's a rental. :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
Just kidding. You have nothing to worry about. The only thing I would point out is that more heat will likely be reflected back into the enclosure, so you may need to adjust the wattage.
Yup, just shedding. Keep an eye it but that's what it looks like. Meanwhile, review the resources here and try to learn as much as possible about these marvelous creatures. Tell us about your setup and people here will give you fantastic feedback. You've got the best resource you could ask for...
I think she meant the brand DYI cages https://www.diycages.com
For what its worth, I would have bought it if it wasn't out of stock at the time. I wanted the clear front, so I ended up buying ReptiBreeze Deluxe. Never had the DYI brand, but it looks great.
........me too. It's very important to not say "that's what she said" when a comment like this comes up. It's tempting to channel Michael Scott. But you must keep your composure and be professional :LOL::LOL:
I travel a lot as well. In fact, I am doing the same right now. I'll be gone next week. The best thing you can do is to have the person over at your house and show them what they have to do. Keep a list of tasks simple. Also, feed the chameleon extra of his favorite food and keep the feedings...
I said to myself that I will not let a macro lens and good composure sway me away from giving some love to Vailed this time... then I promptly voted for Bob. Damn you, Bob!
I am sorry for your loss, but also congratulations on successfully keeping her happy and healthy for so many years. That's truly a long time. I know you're sad right now, but this too will pass. They are magnificent creates with so much personality. I hope you continue to keep chameleons because...
