    Strange female panther

Hey guys. This female is about a year old this month. At first I thought this was just her juvenile colors, but she hasn't seemed to grow out of them. What do you think?

    Cricket Virus and breeding

The last 2 shipments of crix I have received have both died off within two days. Extremely frustrating when I used to be able to feed them off for 3 weeks with very little mortality.

    Nosy Faly

Good looking boy, but isn't 5 weeks a little early to break quarantine? Not trying to snipe, I'm honestly curious.

It all depends on the enclosure. I use 10.0s on larger enclosures.

    Panther Eggs dying?

At that length of time there should have been a partially formed (at least) neo. Either that egg was bad to begin with or something happened that made the embryo no longer viable.

    Dubia or Green Banana Roaches?

I love my dubia. Don't banana roaches lay eggs? That sounds like it would be a hassle. Dubia are almost care free.

    What in the world????

I don't believe this is true, of newly laid eggs anyway. It looks like the eggs may have been bad to begin with.

    More little white worms

I would scrap that colony and start over. But I'm paranoid like that. It could possibly be some sort of parasite that could infect you. You may be able to send them to your local zoo for identification.

    Bummer Doood

Don't you guys have a lot of native roach species? I seem to remember someone calling them palmetto bugs when I was down there as a kid.

    Cicadas - Plentiful Feeder Source

They only hatch in this quantity every seven years I think. Plus they die really quick.

    Look what showed up today...

Hah. That's cool! I would get one but I can't stand the noise of wind chimes.

How often do you breed your panther females?

Pssh- thanks, I was looking for a number that is commonly accepted. Kinyonga- that makes sense as I think that is most accurate as to what they would experience naturally. I'm still curious if there is a breeding season in Madagascar.
