Holy crap the snake didn't feel that at night?
And I didn't know you used water, my friend said he used to throw them in the microwave. I blend up my feeders' food and put in ice cube trays and defrost in the microwave, and sometimes I still get pieces that are still like ice, which is why I asked.
That's only a problem if those who buy them also want to breed pure chams. Maybe they won't want to breed and only keep as a pet, maybe they won't care. They could always go to someone else if they want a pure. If there are so little cham owners over there I hope the new owners won't want to...
My mom made me get a mini fridge too lol.
My friend now has my sister's old snake. He lives on the beach where there is no pet store and he doesn't drive so every here and there I'll pick a mouse up for him. I always get them live. He thinks (I'm not really sure) that his snake needs more...
He's not really small, about 7 months, but the thing is these guys can climb out of a cup. There isn't anything unneeded in the cage, but a bug that size can be a  to find in that size cage... which is why all other feeders go in the cup.
How would I go about feeding climbing feeders in a big cage? Basil's cage is 2x3x4.5 and he will hide when I come near, so by the time I leave and he comes out to eat, the feeders could easily find their own hiding spot. I have locusts around the house this time of year and caught a few babies...
Well I just had the scare of my life!!
I just woke up a few min ago, maybe around 2:45 (I'm 20, what can I say). Everything is automated for my cham and tortoise so I don't need to get up early. Anyway, when I got up I found Tortuga on his back! In a weird place too, I can only assume he...
Mine hates me too. I used to hold him all the time then one day he decided we were done. I only see him when I'm very still in my bed, any other time he is hiding in his tree. I have no chance of hand feeding him like that.
Idk if it's available everywhere, but there is a "sissy spray". Once you get the outline done, you spray it on, rub it in, and you don't feel anything else. When I got the vine around my waist I used it and it actually felt pretty good with the vibrations like a massage.
Or have your boyfriend wait in the car within sight. That way he won't be up close and scary, but if anything goes down he's still there. Or meet somewhere with surveillance cameras so there is proof is she tries anything and the money you hand her is all you supposedly owed her.
Thanks! I love "him" so much. One big advantage is I can handle him, whereas my cham would rather kill himself than let me look at him. I love when he lets me pet his head with my finger :)
By the way, for anyone interested- http://sulcatafood.com/Store.html
It's for more than just sulcatas.
I think there are some stuff you dont need here and also some stuff you can find cheaper. In my opinion, not worth 500. Shop around online (be thrifty!) and add up prices to see which is cheaper. Dont forget Walmart and Home Depot. You dont need an expensive hood for uvb, they might have one for...
I'm gonna start naming future animals after Hindu gods. You hear a lot about Greek gods, not much about Hindu. I named my crested gecko Ketu (Keh-too) which represents a lunar node or shadowy planet since cresteds are nocturnal. And I like the way they sound.
I have my tortoise in the same room. Chams lights go off first, 5 min later torts lights go off. Gives him a little time to find a spot if he needs it but he's already "in bed" before his lights turn off anyway, he's got it down. But that's an idea if you have another animal that uses lights.
My cat looks exactly like this. When he came home his name was Bob. Then my sister wanted to rename him so I said Vanilla Ice because he is white and has ice blue eyes. We ended up calling him Ice Bob.
My sister now calls him Lord Farkbob because she's crazy, but to me he's still Ice Bob.
None...
