I was finally able to take Calypso out today for the first time since I got him, he is a little over 6 months now and I love how he's turning out. Thanks for checking him out! :D
My light fixture has 3 sockets, so I have 2 25w high lumens bulbs and 1 60w halogen in the middle, gives a nice basking gradient of 92-84 degrees...I don't quite get your last question though
I'm not really sure how the vitamins would do with being frozen so I can't say. But since I don't know that answer it's better for me to just keep the gutloading and supplementing seperate so that I know exactly what I'm supplementing with and how much.
And as for adding a few worms in the...
I have a similar problem as you where I go into work about 2 hours before my cham wakes up and I don't get home until 3 pm. I've just been putting in about 8-10 crickets right before I leave and at the same time place a tray of bug burger and veggies in the middle of the cage and have had no...
One cube lasts me about 2-3 days for about 70 crickets at a time, but I also put unfrozen paste and bug burger at the same time, so they have a lot of foods to choose from lol. It is veeeery convenient and has made a huge difference in the crickets so far.
I'm so glad to see many people interested/have done this themselves!
Yup, I didn't really measure exact ingredients. I just figured these foods are all beneficial with whatever amount. I did add more greens then apples/oranges.
That's also a very good way to go about it! Though there's a...
Lol yes it's normal. My guy will be right next to the feeder cup and I'll be watching/waiting to see if he eats and then realize I've been sitting there watching for 20 minutes!! As long as he's eating and drinking water then it's fine, especially if you've had him only for a few days.
I finally decided to stop being lazy and make my own gut load with blended apples/oranges/collard and mustard greens/ kale/ and carrots and freeze them in an ice cube tray for veggie-siccles. The crickets went CRAZY for the cubes and it was almost devoured in one night. I noticed a huge...
Thank you! I'm sure yours will be a stunner as well. The first day I misted him he ran out of the cage and managed to climb on top of my head, but other than that he has been pretty scared of me so far, but it's only been 3 days. I am sure both of our ambi's will get used to us after they learn...
Yea he is! Mine is a little over 5 months, we should keep track of each other's to see how different/similar their colors turn out lol. I made a post about him earlier,
