Hi guys just a question on when to place the laying bin.... I bred my chameleons last friday it's been 5 days since then her color has already changed to dark chocolate... should i place the laying bin in now or later on like after 2 weeks? I used topsoil without fertilizers do i have to moisten...

hahaha chameleons are sooo complicated! my mom is making a fuss about all the bugs in the house im just lucky i live in a tropical place where i dont need heating lamps or lights... so hard to breed crickets i have about 800 adult dubias now enough i guess for 3 chameleons to eat their nymphs

thank you for the info apparently i have to get the calcium with no d3... i was using the wrong powder for quite a while it will arrive maybe tomorrow im not so sure of the type all i know is reptical and reptivite it's so hard to get proper supplies here in the philippines... i know less than 3...

:) sorry for the newbie mistake i was letting them play in the garden took the male out just for fun he instantly went for it... thot she'd gape at him and run away but she didnt which surprised me... hope she does well her color's changed dark already from tan to chocolate brown reptical 2...

ooohhh thanks for the tip... yeah i was surprised she was receptive... i cant use d3 my enclosure is outdoor :) i ordered some calcium without d3 and reptivite

also what supplementations to use now that she is gravid thanks a bunch

It was already 6pm when i picked him up already quite dark... he was sleeping at the side of the chameleon cage on the screen not on the branch... so i picked him up from there and he continued sleeping :) that was last friday he's always been a heavy sleeper even with me but he's wide awake...

dunno the exact age im guessing 9-10 months old... he looked soo different compared to his last shed his colors changed so much.... he's only 74 grams just looks bigger puffed up

My chameleon sleeps like it will never wake up no more... I took him over to my friend's place to breed with his female.. when i was bringing him home i picked him up from the branch where he slept he just continued sleeping maybe he was really tired from baby making for 2 days

my chameleon was pretty ugly when i got him my friend got to choose first but now after a shed he completely morphed into another being! hhaha amazing creatures never judge the book by its cover... ahhahaa and ur right they do look awesome in person!

I have a dubia colony too... chams are really finnicky eaters... mine dont even really like crickets... dubia they eat but they go crazy over grasshoppers

you mean if eggs develop after being bred they are not fertilized? or eggs that developed before being bred?

hmmm well the female is my friend's but when i looked they appear to be scars... we bought our chameleons last month together i was the one that had first choice of the female.. the female was pretty huge though and fat i actually thought it was gravid at first with infertile eggs... the body...
