Yeah Iguanas are very cool, but bot they get BIG. I had a male about 10 years or so ago. When he was about 6 months old or so he fell(he was freaking out while I was getting him out of his cage) and landed wrong and broke his leg. So I went to the Vet and got him all splinted. Boy was this a fun...
Can I get a pic. of your enclosure to see what it looks like? I see they are in toilet paper rolls. Did you take out the silkies and put them in a different container/rolls at a certain time or what? I really want to try this again, my first time was a bust(of coarse I had no idea what to do)...
I use cricketfood.com's premium blend and the crickets love it. I love it too. I just don't have the time to put in fresh veggies everyday for the crickets. This way i dont really mess with them except for when I get them out to feed them to my cham. Every other day I will throw in some flukers...
I dont think you can really build your own system for much cheaper than you can buy one complete online? If you can PLEASE let me know how? I think the pumps themselves are $100.00 or better. I have found no spray nozzles at my local Lowes. I know the tubing is cheap.
I tried breeding silkworms with no luck. But I had light on them. I did not know they did not like light, maybe that was the problem. I am going to try roaches next. I want to have maybe roaches for a staple then silkies and crickets every now and then.
How sturdy is it? How well does the door work? Are there big gaps for crickets to get out? I had thought of this to before I bought my cages. But the wife talked me out of it.
