You really won't regret the MistKing. I know it can be a bit of a sticker shock to spend that much, but it really is investing in the health of the chameleon. They're very well made systems that will last years, and they have plenty of neat accessories. My favorite is the rain nozzle that goes...
That's terrible... I hope someone has some advice for you. You might have to liquefy some bugs and feed him that way while attempting to teach him to eat without a tongue.
There aren't nearly as many CB Jackson's out there as there are Panther and Veiled. They're apparently harder to raise up healthy and there is a larger loss rate than with Veiled and Panther. Since you have the time, I would ask around maybe on some of the FB groups to see if any breeders will...
Getting the set up constructed and tested beforehand is a great idea. Then you can see what you need to adjust. Since Jackson's need higher humidity, you might have to cover the sides of the screen cage with plastic if you find that you can't keep the humidity up.
I think your biggest...
Everything I've heard about Ship Your Reptiles is great and they really walk you through everything you need to ship safely and securely. If you are thinking about shipping, I'd check them out:

I know with my rescue chameleon Monty, he would shoot his tongue at me when he was feeling defensive and scared. I've also heard of some chameleons shooting at eyes if they move quickly.
It's definitely a weird feeling. You can really feel how their tongue grabs at the tip.
Since he gorged himself so much, his stomach could be pressing against his lungs and spine, causing the issues with the legs and open mouth breathing. Crickets are a lot of roughage, so keep an eye on his poop to make sure everything is moving through him. Make sure you're heavily misting, or...
That'll definitely be good. I think I use my heat gun more than any other tool for my reptiles. Makes it so easy to check that temps are correct and there are no odd hotspots.
Plant bulbs are definitely great for helping out the live plants. I have one in my quad bulb fixture along with two bright daylight bulbs and then a UVB bulb. The brightness hasn't been an issue for my guy. He regularly hangs out at the highest point possible under the bulbs to bask and survey...
I'd mist for longer. Usually my minimum is five minutes. Sometimes it takes them a while to get drinking and doing their thing. Are you using a hand mister/spayer?
An alternative is to use the shower method to give them a nice long period of "rain" if your set up can't handle a lot of water...
He might have something stuck in his eye that he's trying to get out. How long are you misting him for? They don't just need misting for drinking, they also use it to help clean out their eyes.
Thanks Todd! The quad fixture I got from you really makes sure the whole thing is nice and bright and all the plants are happy. If I do end up going bioactive it'll be even more important to the low plants covering the bottom. :)
For sure. It's why I keep a very, very close eye on my Crested for anything that looks like bites. The minute I see a hint of it, I plan on pulling everything out of the tank. I've thought about doing that anyways and reorganizing, but just haven't gotten around to it yet.
I've thought before that my set up might be good for going bioactive. Right now my cage sits on top of a utility sink with the plant pot sitting down in the sink on a stool. If I set up a false bottom with light grate and PVC to keep the drain clear, then did the typical layer of hydroton and...
