I could see myself doing this. My issue is the distance it takes the plant bulb off the screen. Theres already filtration from the screen, I need as much light as I can get lol.
Yep, ive got a dual dome collecting dust as a reminder of how far ive come from the beginning of keeping chameleons. I didnt buy the kit, worse, i saw my local mom and pop shop using it and decided to buy it from chewy. I also have 4 uvb coil bulbs i bought as replacements in that box as well...
Youre going to want to upgrade to the 24x24x48. Yes the t5ho is what you want to upgrade to. Hes not going to get roasted. The uvb coil you put into that god forsaken dual dome is utterly useless im sorry to say. What are you doing as far as misting? Suplements? Whats the schedule for both?
I knew I was getting some form of Phasmatidae over the weekend. Which one though I wasnt sure. But I decided I wanted to build the enclosure instead of buying it. I honestly thought it would be less expensive... I was mistaken. It was fun regardless!
I think these guys are diapheromeridae not sure though. Got 4 of them regardless.
Edit: They're Phaenopharos khaoyaiensis or the Thai Bud-wing stick insect.
Thoughts? I know Nicks got them over at FTF, but since im heading to the expo tomorrow morning, seeing if its worth picking them up. (Feel like I want them as pets more than feeders honestly)
When you find out a friend owns reptiles and you had no clue. Then they say theyre willing to feed your tree dragon every other day so you can take a vacation to hawaii.:love: (too bad im still going to use my arlo to make sure hes doing right :ROFLMAO:)
I have to agree with Lennoncham and Beman. I understand that theres a steep difference in price. The issue we see all too often is people using the cost of the chameleon to decide whether or not it is worth the money to save or take care of. I really wish vieleds were 300$+ so we could weed out...
