Welcome to the forums, Jonathan is one of the best and a sponsor here and good luck on your project 👍
I would probably put the enclosure on a stand of some sort to raise it to where the basking branch is roughly eye level or so.
About a month ago my Quassi passed away, a member of the forums and a true sweetheart of the chameleon community wanted to do something for a reminder of him and to soothe my heart. The amazing people I have got to know in this community is amazing.
Thank you so much @Elisaann2 for touching my...
What methods of hydration are you using and schedule, she looks extremely dehydrated. I use Reptical without D3 every feeding and RepashyLoD twice a month for all my chameleons.
Replaced a couple of uvb bulbs on enclosures and had to take a couple of pictures. Also realized I need to order a few new reflectors.
Don't forget to clean your reflectors 👍
If that is the beginning of edema I would cut back on your vitamins to once a month for maybe two months. I would continue to use the bee pollen sparingly. I like and use Reptical without D3 every feeding and RepashyLoD twice a month ( jacksons once a month) for all the species I have.
I think a hybrid would work well, even a screen cage can be modified cover two or three sides. Many people use things like window insulation film, shower curtains corrugated plastic sheets, heck even trash bags can be used to close off the sides.
Wednesday I received the most beautiful 6 month panther (Ozzy) and was completely happy with him. The last few months I noticed that Quassi's age was getting the best of him. Sadly Thursday he went to find the basking branch in the sky 😢 🥺
I was recommended not to go over 18/19% protein. I grind rabbit food that's 18%, dried bird greens and bee pollen and have had no issues with my 5 different species of chameleons.
