I only put
I only put the bins when I saw them mating. Few days after mating I saw some holes on the bins, base on what I have read, some of those holes doesn’t have eggs, it is just a test holes before they lay eggs.
I do leave the bin at the bottom and poop accumulate on top. The only time I do remove them is when I have to transfer to hatching cage (that’s what I did with the first batch of bins). I haven’t smell anything specially after I sprayed water or my nose is not good at smelling foul smells (🤭).
I don’t do anything special, I just have a 100W heat bulb in each cage, feed them cricket crack and some greens. The one that keeps on mating and laying eggs are the first batch of hoppers I ordered from Dean weeks before I’ve got Picasso from you. I don’t even know what temp they are in. I keep...

In Thailand there are grasshopper farms breeding specifically for human consumptions. I haven’t tried hoppers but yes with crickets in a very small amount. 😁
The brand is Hydrofarm and it is in Amazon (currently unavailable).
The Lumenize is the new Arcadia type of lighting that simulate the dawn and dusk sun brightness like the ones used in aquarium industry.
When I set up our enclosure I used a quad light fixture, the 2 ft length that fits exactly on top of the enclosure. After a month and a half I’ve decided to take it off and use Arcadia UV and jungle dawn. I have no problem providing light for plant and uv using the quad light, it is just too...
