It sounds like you don't really understand the idea of cross contamination.
If you took branch A and put in in cage B without any sterilization, then, yes, you absolutely could have transferred something over.
It's also problematic that you kept them both in exoterra enclosures. I'm not...
I'm very sorry for your loss. The sliver lining to this horrible situation is that her death was probably completely unrelated to your care, and will hopefully prove to be a helpful stepping stone on the path of better understanding parsons chameleons.
I really am sorry, though. This sucks.
Rather than one large pothos I would add two or three smaller ones. They are very hardy, safe for your cham to eat, and can be trained to grow up/along any vines or branches you'd like them to.
As for vines, remember that these are arboreal creatures that will utilize every piece of climbing...
I'm just going to say it -
In your thread about your recently deceased chameleon, you admitted you did not have the money to seek veterinary care, and now one of the qualities you're looking for in a new chameleon is "cheap".

Honestly, I would just scrap the viv and go the screen route. Unless the wood has been properly treated, it will mold, and it will rot. The lack of ventilation is also a great recipe for an RI.
It's a pretty enclosure, but just not all that well suited for a chameleon.
He needs WAY more plant cover and climbing branches, both horizontal and vertical.
You know how sometimes you go to a really good zoo and have to spend a long time looking to even see whatever animal is in the exhibit because it's set up so well?
Aim for that.
Get rid of the bark and fake plants, add live plants and more vertical and horizontal climbing areas. The wattage of your bulb seems very high, so you really need to keep an eye on your temps. I can't tell if the green cup/bowl is for feeding or has water, but it it has standing water, get rid...
