I recently found a really unexpectedly good "greenhouse" at a Sears Hardware store near my work... Sometimes I take *my* kids with me to wander around, relax, and find new plants for my lizards... I too am glad I am not the only one who does this ;)
My guy did that and my vet had suggested it was mild MBD. He had no other symptoms at the time. I would recommebd a vet visit for it. It may be costly, but not as costly as a later vet visit will be.
Please don't ignore this problem just b/c it does not seem like a problem right now... it...
I like the look of the vines a lot. It makes it look like you have a braided ficus in there. Very cool look ;)
I would agree that your cham would benefit from something more in the middle. I wish I could tell you if the plant you mentioned was safe or not, but I am AWEFUL with plants &...
My bad, they are sold out... sorry!
I think it's the Kammers that have juvi cbb parsonii for sale on their site... http://www.chameleonsonly.com/cb_parson's_chameleons.htm
They are young & related, but a good start from reputable breeders.
Good Luck.
back in the day, I cute out the center area of the PVC bottom of a screen cage and installed 1/4" wire mesh over the PVC frame that was left. I placed the cage on a larger wire shelf, and put a large drain-tub underneath. I did have a few escapees, but they didn't go far before getting trapped...
They are also "in-season" year-round in S.Fl... I bought some there one Christmas while visiting family. Only one is still alive tho. Apparently, Hibiscus don't like to be frozen =P
I too would recommend the pothos... i've heard that ficus are easy to grow (at leas my mom said they were easy for her) however I have managed to desemate practically a green-house worth of them in the past few years of herp-keeping... I even kill spider plants tho... so I'm not a good measure...
Thanks Brad. I wasn't planning on using one for the furute cham, I was just gaining knowledge. I was, however, contemplating getting one for a gecko tank of mine, but if it's possibly toxic, I will steer clear. =o)
Ok, last I remember, all-glass cages are not recommended for chams... did I miss something? I've seen quite a few gallery pics with rather large chams (older than I think would be ok to keep in a tank) living in an exo-terra... Does this help with the winter humidity? or has new info come out...
