I answered this question in an earlier reply. I read that the DIY cages have all stainless steel hinges and clasps which to me seems more durable. I asked for reasons why one was superior to the other and got no responses on that question. That is why I got the DIY cage instead. So know I have...
OK, so I have my enclosure now and have it all assembled. I was originally going to use the aluminum blackener but Ive read in several places that it will rub off and this worries me. So, Ive decided to go with the Krylon Fusion spray paint since its reef safe and im all too familiar with how...
Where did you get the chains? Do you know what the weight limit is per chain? Im thinking of running one across the top of the cage to hang my pothos on. Im curious if it will support the weight.
Do you think she would be less stressed if you tried to get her onto a stick or something else other than your hand? Like maybe a fake leaf covered dowel rod.

Crickets are cheap enough. Eat the cost. I wouldnt take the chance of feeding my pet something that could potentially be dangerous unless you can find conclusive evidence that states its normal.
I agree with Lathis on this one. Releasing anything you didnt get from the wild, into the wild is just irresponsible. Just because something seems harmless doesnt mean that it is. Perfect example of this is the saltwater Lionfish. Not native to the waters of Carribean, but because someone...
Im pretty sure that bamboo is safe. Ive seen several threads where people have bought bamboo from local home improvement stores and used it in their enclosures. As far as using live bamboo that you cut down, Im not sure what process you would need to take to make it safe for your enlcosures. It...
The video option on your camera would be just fine. Once you have the video just save the video from your camera to your computer. Then, if you have a youtube account you can upload it there and just post the link to the uploaded video here.
That was very helpful. I imagine when I get my first cham it will only be a couple of months old. I hope to get more great responses like yours. I like lots of information. It gives me a good base to work with once I get my cham. Im sure he/she will let me know what it likes and doesnt like.
Im glad I found this thread. Its so easy to forget that these reptiles are exotic animals due to the fact that we see them so often in the pet trade. I have since investigated if there are any legal actions or requirements for my state and I have found nothing that indicates any such things...
I have a couple of questions.
1) How do you store the different types of feeders?
2) How much food do you have on hand at anyone time per cham?
3) Are there some foods that are easier to keep than others?
Which ones?
Setups for each?
Is it practical for someone with only one...
I want to provide as much diversity in my chams diet as possible but my wife is not ok with having roaches around. Is it ok to not feed roaches so long as I food a good variety of other things?
MMMM. Morels are amazing. I havnt had any in a few years though. I need to go out and hunt them like I used to. Used to be one of those things I looked forward to every year. Unfortunatly, life gets in the way and I havnt had a chance to go look for them in a while.
