I don't mind chirping crickets. They are nature's white noise. One escapee in the bedroom that can't be found and chirping away could be devastating to one's sanity.

When you are taking a portrait eye must be in focus. In order to have the body in focus as well, increase the f-stop as needed. If f-stop is too high, you photo will turn out dark (or blurry if you are in auto mode).

I'm not a big fan of rotating the original photo, when rotated, the lighting looks unnatural because it comes an angle that it shouldn't be coming from. This is true especially for hard light.
