    My Guy is in Trouble

Even though I avoided this discussion, I am very glad that you have posted this disclaimer (for lack of a better word). We all do need to be very cautious of what we post as we never know who may be reading or how they interpret things. I am all for fresh air and sunshine for all living...

    Misting amount

I’ve got Mist King, and while I’ve no idea of the volume per misting session, I doubt that it is anywhere near 400 mls. Running 6 double nozzles at 2, 2 minute misting, 1, 1 minute misting and 2 15 second mistings per 24 hour period, I go thru about just under 5 gallons of water per week, so...

Hi would anyone be able to help male or female?

While my guy was much older than your little cutie is, this is the hemipenal bulge which we use to determine. Your little one lacks any hemipenal bulge and from her vent, her bottom tail base goes straight. I picked the photo of your that could be misidentified and point out where/why.

Which locale has the best colors when not fired up?

My personal experience is limited to Ambilobe panthers and veileds. I have a Nosy Be panther girl, who I think is gorgeous, but of course the ladies beauty is more subtle. While all panthers are gorgeous, I think the Ambilobe might be the most common in the trade and for this reason. Mine rarely...

Managing a bioactive enclosure and the pooping flower

There are a lot of things that may be the problem. I’ve had such wonderful success with my bioactives that outside bugs have found them to make great homes and moved in. 🤬 Ants! I’m currently in the process of undoing them all. 🥺 I used the blog that @Beman linked above as a guide until I felt...

    Feeding worms?

Same as @Decadancin My animals love all worms - horn, silk, wax, super (meal for the geckos). With both silkworms and hornworms, I hand feed those to help maintain trust. Regardless of what feeder you are offering, it is important that they are the correct size. That can be just a tad trickier...

    im back.... again (for real)

Sorry to hear that. Poor beardie. 🥺 I don’t have any idea of how much of an investment you wish to make, so let me guide you to Neptune the chameleon’s kits. https://www.pangeareptile.com/collections/reptile-kits/products/advanced-chameleon-kit-by-neptune-the-chameleon It pretty much includes...

    Sudden Edema after becoming Receptive

Since she’s mature enough to have her reproductive cycle start, now is the time to reduce her feeding. Hopefully she won’t have an unusually large clutch of eggs, but she may still produce more than is ideal. My girls always had clutches in the low 30’s, but they were infrequent. After a couple...

Taking down all of my bioactive set ups. Huge job! 3 of the chameleons done, 2 more chameleons and then the leopard geckos to go. Florida is not the ideal place to have bioactive enclosures.

    Sudden Edema after becoming Receptive

Hi and welcome. 🙂 That’s a significant amount of edema, so a vet visit is a good idea to make sure your girl is healthy. It’s always a good idea to take a fresh poo for parasite testing also…even if she had a negative result previously. Do you by chance use bee pollen at all? Anecdotally that...

My Chameleon Says It’s Their Turn to Shine

Yes, you want warm dry days (ideal humidity range 30-50%) and cool humid nights. It simulates a way of natural hydration like they would get in the wild. If you aren’t able to achieve a cool enough temp at night, it’s ok not to fog. It sounds like Fridolyn is going to have the best life with you. 💗
