how to reintroduce clean up crew to my feeder roach colony

...bin. I basically just grow cleaners outside the tub, and introduce a little at a time. The cleaner crew seems to live off of lizard poop and a bit of veggies just fine. Not sure if you could make a cleaner house with small slits so the cleaners can go in and out, but the larger roaches cant.

    Closing one eye?

Thats why I switched to the Reapshy LoD as well, I didn't feel that the Reptivite stuck to the bugs very well and I was worried about my chams not getting what they need.

    Brown crickets

I always free ranged my crickets in the cages and the only times the crickets would bite a chameleon were if the chameleon was sick or there was nothing in the cage for them to eat. I always left little containers of my greens/veggie gutload in the cages for the insects to eat.

Things you never would have said before getting a chameleon

Please save me all your peanut butter jar lids so I can put fresh veggies, etc. in the chameleon cages for the insects to eat while they wait to be eaten.

    Help! I need Therapy.....

And if all of you turn vegan because you can’t face killing a bug or anything…don’t forget the veggies sense things too. “The team of researchers tested tobacco plants and tomato plants by not watering them and by cutting off their stems. They then recorded their response with a microphone that...

...cause healthy issues. Look for words like retinol, retinal, retinoic acid, etc. PrOformed vitamin a comes from carotenoids…so from fruits, veggies, greens and is not ready to go in the body…the body has to convert it into a useful form but must be converted into the useful form. The good...

Okay this helps a lot and definitely telling me that I need to spend a hell more money lol- it's crazy because again, I was told from like the stores that "Oh its easy, it's so chill and once you get the stuff it's easy" and I'm just- ugh. ...load the BSFL with? Dubia.com said they don’t need anything lol that they gut load them and need no food once I get them. Seemed a bit odd. But idk what to feed any of the worms. I feed the roaches and crickets dry powdered food and fresh veggies and fruit. But the worms I was told need nothing.

...First pic is what you need to stay away from for gutloading & the second pic is what is recommend to gutload with! Try to gutload more with veggies & I purchased bee pollen also! Laying eggs… help?

...We’re trying to balance the nutrients in the crickets and other insects to make up for what they lack from their wild diet…so each is still balanced as much as we can, doing this. It’s also impo to feed/gut load the insects with good greens, veggies, etc too, of course. No stupid questions!

I get my BSFL from joshs frogs. I do not gutload them. They come packed in some dirt/whatever that I believe they eat and don't need to be gutloaded from my understanding.

    Carpet chameleon loss.

Thanks for your response. I have seen the isopods as high as 18inches on the branches. Seems the like ficus benjaminin leaves. Although with food on the ground, I don't believe the isopods would bother the cham. I haven't removed him as the cleanup crew is doing their thing. I will be doing a...

    Am I gutloading wrong?

It is a good one for crickets. But you would not use this one for any roach species. These are prone to develop high uric acid levels when fed a high protein diet. Mazuri is a high protein diet at 30% min protein level. This article Repashy did explains it better than I am...

    FREE ENCLOSURES AROUND PHILADELPHIA

I’ve heard this from vets and don’t necessarily disagree. I think they are 99% insectivores, but some do intentionally eat foliage and flowers for unknown reasons. So those that intentionally do, even if infrequently, would technically fall under the omnivore definition. It’s unfortunate the...

Is my Veiled chameleon male too skinny?

Hi again, and you are correct that I don’t measure temp and humidity yet. I’m also kinda confused by it. Also, should I hand mist his cage? But, the local pet stores near me don’t sell humidity measurements I don’t think. Also, I forgot to include vitamins and supplements. I give him Repashy...
