Could use help and guidance - new veiled owner with new rescue

Do not put the wax worms or calciworms in the fridge, it kills them faster and since you are feeding a chameleon you can just feed the moths and flies when they hatch out. They make great enrichment feeders.

Thinking about adopting a Jackson's any advice?

...new to one of her vines. She is so small it works well, but I dunno... I worry about her not getting enough chitin with the wax worms and calciworms only. And supers would be able to get out of her mouth for certain, or at least injure her. I want her to eat something I can gutload easier and...

...using calcium without Vitamin D, then once every two weeks using calcium with D3, and a multivitamin once every two weeks. I also use calciworms [black fly larva or Phoenix worms] which have a lot of calcium and do not need dusted. Variety is helpful/necessary. My crickets are gut loaded with...

Could use help and guidance - new veiled owner with new rescue

I've got waxworms and calciworms on the way. :) Should be here in a couple of days! Fingers crossed this works out alright. I have no idea what I'm doing with ordering feeders or if I can store them long enough to make it worthwhile.

Prepping to get my first chameleon

I am trying to move away from crickets and stick to dubia roaches, nutrigrubs/phoenix worms/calciworms, meal worms, hornworms, superworms, and silk worms. My plan is to stick to the feeder cup because I like being able to see what he is eating each day. Last night I covered all drainage holes...

He is fed crickets, superworms, mealworms, calciworms/BSFL, and butterworms every other day + occasional waxworms. Buy some Phoenix Worms online or go to Petco/Petsmart and get calciworms (same thing=black soldierly larvae). ...and had a little trouble swallowing. I don't want to name her Piggy, but it's slowly turning out that way. The waxworms from Grubco are perfect. Really really happy with them. The calciworms (from another place) on the other hand came in too small and short a couple hundred....

    Veiled chameleon won't shed??

...a moister source. I use raw oats and apple. Smells good. Also keep them together so they don't go all beetle on you. ;) Reptiworms, PhoenixWorms and Calciworms are all the same thing and good for your cham. About night lights, it could keep them up or wake them at night. Total darkness is best.

Can't figure out what's up with my Panther Chameleons Eye!

While super worms are better than meal worm, they're still not a good base diet, too fatty, too much chitin. You could check out Calciworms ,they're black soldier fly larvae and are very high in calcium, you can gut load t them too. If some pupate and turn into flies, you simply feed the flies...

    Veiled chameleon won't shed??

Happy to help! Be sure not to feed your chameleon too many waxworms, the are mostly fat and can slow it down.

You sprayed him with the calcium? I feed my 5 month panther chameleon small crickets which are way bigger than pinheads I'm sure he will be able to handle them. Get him some calciworms or phoenix worms he will probably like those and they are high in calcium

Any budding entomologists willing to ID larve?

Looks like Black Soldier Fly larvae commonly sold as Phoenix worms or Calciworms. Very high in calcium and a good prey item for your cham! They get dark or black before they pupate into a fly, which are also fun cham food. BSF occur naturally in most states of the US.
