Meet James... and new chameleon keeper

I'm that awful person who keeps buying chameleons from petshops... (( Went to PetSmart to buy some decor and passed a small enclosure (or even box) with baby chameleon in PetSmart. It has closed eyes - which I believe is a sign of illness, couldn't stop myself - I was thinking about him for...

I used to mist in the morning but then humidity was up during the day and I’m in Florida . So the only thing I do now is lights off at 830pm and 9 pm the mister goes on for 4 minutes and then at midnight it goes off at 12am for 30 seconds. I order a digger machine and it will be here tomorrow...

    Randall boy or girl 🦎

30 is a bit too warm for a tiny baby. you won't want his temp to exceed around 26. When he's a big handsome adult cham is when 30 would be perfect for him. Is that an Arcadia UVB light that I'm seeing? What strength is the bulb? 6% is the one needed. Regarding heat and lights, little ones like...

    Chameleon fecal matter in dripper

I use a monsoon solo mister that I converted into a dripper. dubiaroaches.com/products/exo-terra-monsoon-solo I spliced drip irrigation tubing on to it and it drips several times a day for several seconds. THE PURPOSE OF HYDRATION

HYDRATION PURPOSE I often hear/read questions repeatedly: What is the right hydration schedule? When should I fog? How long should I mist? Is 3 times 2 hours enough? Do I need to keep the dripper on all day? etc., etc., etc... And, we engage in endless debates... So, what is wrong? The...

Dark chameleon and white spots on back

Cage Info: Cage Type - 24x24x48 screen type and I taped vinyl curtain liners on 2 sides to prevent the misters from spraying my walls. Excellent. If you find your humidity is ever too high, you could switch to a fabric shower curtain. Lighting - I use the Pro T5 12% uvb light This is too...

Veiled Chameleon not drinking water and moving slow

Can you upload a picture of him and his enclosure? How big is his enclosure? Do you have a 6% UV light, heat lamp, and grow light? Does he have a lot of plants to hide in and branches to chill on? Also, his eyes are sunken because he is dehydrated. Has he been closing his eyes during the day...
